A quick and easy gardening card game.
I saw Can You Dig It from a video recommendation online, and with how cheap it was I couldn't pass it up without giving it a try.The game is super simple, you divide the cards evenly between all players, flip over the first five cards and start building stack. The cards are numbered, and each turn you get to place a card. The numbers on the card represent a level of growth the plant is at. 0 would be a seed, 1 would be a sprout, etc.Vegetable cards are higher numbers like tomato is 3, onion is 4, when these cards are played, the person you plays it gets the stack and using the vegetables they get, they get points. The instructions are super simple, only one page so the game is quick to pick up and easy to learn! My only real issue is that twice during our first 3-round game no one had a valid card to play and online resources didn't really have an answer for it either, so we kinda winged in the most fair way we could. When something like that occurred, it always felt unfair to someone.Maybe a oversight with the game, regardless, still a great game for the value!

I would not buy again
Playing the rules as written ends up with stalemates where no moves are possible. We are having to create our own rules in order to keep playing. Would not recommend this buy.

Cute game, mild damage
The game is so cute! The box has very mild wear on the box. No clear plastic wrap and the sticker holding the box top and bottom together tore off cover art 😭 nothing crazy or probably even noticeable to anyone who isn't really studying it.

Gameplay is broken. Not well designed. Low quality cards.
Playing the rules as written leads to constant stalemates where no moves are possible. This happened to us on turn 2 on average. The cards are also poor quality. After game attempt two (4 total turns of gameplay) the children had permanently bent most of their cards from holding them naturally (they were not being overly rough nor intentionally bending them). We adjusted the rules to allow us to continue and found that it was not a fun game either. Needlessly complicated for children and not engaging for children or adults. I will avoid ALL Ridley games in the future.
