Works wonderfully can’t recommend enough
August 9, 2024Okay, I’m a bit of a foot file “Goldilocks” as I’ve been searching for just the right one. I’ve used name brand (e.g. Footlogix, Diamancel, Imperial, Amope Pedi, Microplane Colossal, etc.) and no name brand files bought both here and at retail stores and have paid over $50 for one file (Diamancel) and less then $5 for others. I’ve tried metal, glass, pumice, nickel, terra cotta, etc. and have still been searching for that all around great file and well as of today I think I’ve found it.Firstly, I love that it’s stainless steel and can be sanitized. It feels great in the hand and it’s not so heavy that you’d get hand fatigue. It doesn’t bend when filing and gives minimal flex but it easily maneuvers around the contours of the foot and toes. The pads are coarse and fine and really do get rid of dead skin quickly without having to apply too much pressure and without tearing your skin (Microplane Colossal and terra cotta). Some files I’ve used (metal and nickel require a lot of pressure to get the dead skin off, thankfully this isn’t an issue with this file. It was recommended you soak your feet first and then filing. However, I dry filed my feet first with the coarse side, then soaked my feet and used the fine side. It worked really well and I’m very happy with the results!I also really like that the pads are easily replaceable. I’ve had files and of coarse pumice stones that after using for awhile it just doesn’t feel like it worked as great anymore. Because these pads are meant to be replaced that isn’t an issue. Now I read other reviews and the thought of using a hairdryer to heat this up almost turned me off from buying it (I live in the desert where the average summer temp is 110 degrees or higher so that’s super unappealing). But one review said to soak it for 10 minutes in just boiled water, then remove pad and soak for an additional 5-10 minutes to get the adhesive off. Well I just changed the pad today and it was quick and easy doing what the other reviewer recommended. For those that can’t get the adhesive off I’ve got an alternative that will work with little to no effort. And that is taking an oil (e.g. olive, canola, vegetable, etc.) and placing the file with enough oil to coat it into a ziplock bag and let it sit for a couple hours. Then remove the file and give it a wash and the adhesive will be gone.I highly recommend this file for cost, quality, ease of use and effective performance. Now I still use a nano glass file as my finishing file because I love that super smooth feeling. But it isn’t necessary and most people (maybe normal people?) will be fine without it. If anything changes I will update.**Update November 12, 2024**First, I still love this file and use it about twice a week (both wet and dry). It’s still functions perfectly just as the day I bought it. So I still 100% recommend it to anyone. However, today I changed the pads and noticed a couple of spots of rust under the pads. Now I do use this wet and I wash it with soap and water after every use (including when using dry) and then dry it. So I was a little surprised when seeing the rust spots. So I used Bar Keepers Friend cream cleanser and it completely removed all the rust spots.Again, my first review still stands. But I wanted anyone else who may also find rust spots when changing the pads to know they’re not the only one who’s had this issue and how to fix it. My other recommendation is for the manufacturer to use a higher grade of stainless steel to avoid this issue.**Update March 31, 2025**For me this is still the best foot file around. I’m back today ordering more filing pads and thought I’d give a little update.First, I did purchase a cordless electric foot file (yes, I know but I did state in my original review I have Goldilocks syndrome for foot files) to see if it would be easier, faster and give better results than this file. And well no, it doesn’t.Electric files are not waterproof so using while in the shower or while still wet after showering is a big no-no unlike what I can do with this file. The electric file I purchased has 2 heads (one that you changed the pad on for both course and fine; one that is a nano file) and while they worked okay (the nano head didn’t really work well at all) it wasn’t as good as this file. I used the electric file on both dry and soaked feet with okay results were but it was nothing to write home about compared to the results I get from this file. The only thing superior about the electric file is easy of use because you’re not moving your body in a back and forth motion and applying pressure like this manual file.So this is still my Number #1 file. I’ll update if anything changes in the future.

Better than Pedegg
I have used Pedegg for years but then I bought this for my teenager. This was a game changer. It is very gentle on heels yet does a great job of removing callus. It has two sides, one is more coarse than the other which can be used on different parts of feet as per requirement. Nice product with decent results.

The Best
This foot file is awesome. It's obviously doesn't bend or break. It's the perfect grit and comfortable to hold. As to replacing the work paper idk yet but otherwise so far it's transformed my feet as I file off the dead skin nightly.

Great but may cut yourself
I've tried about 20 different types of foot files and this has been the most effective. However - However! Be careful as you may cut yourself. They should design the edges a little different with more safety.

Easy to replace, easy to use, works as intended
I have gross Arizona feet. The dry heat and year around sandals/bare feet takes its toll.I was a devout pedi/mani girl until COVID, now I’m hesitant to get back into the time commitment required for those every 3 weeks. With this foot file, I’m convinced that I can make it happen at home.Photos show the embarrassing state of my feet “before” and after just 3 minutes of grinding down. Yes. I timed it.They aren’t perfect, but give me a few more days and I’m certain I’ll be thrilled.I love the entire concept of this product. I’ve purchased cheap plastic single use files and they aren’t even in the same playing field as this one. The handle is SOLID. Seriously study. You need something with some strength to get the pressure needed, but don’t want something heavy as your hands get tired as it is. You have to get in an odd awkward angle to sand down your own feet, so I want to be super efficient when it happens.I love the replacement stickers. I switched it out for my mom to try it. I’m surprised how easily you can rip that sticker off, because when it’s stuck down, it does not budge while sanding.I’d buy this again in a heartbeat. It came with the initial sanding sticker thing in place when it arrived and included 5 replacement sets (1 each of the finer and courser grit per ‘set’). F
