Does Exactly What I Expected It To Do.
In short, This did exactly what I wanted it to. it allows me the use of my old FD mount lenses on a EOS/EFS body, and does an extremely good job at it. construction of it is solid no looseness at all. have had no problem mounting any lens to it. I would buy again and have already recommended it to my friends with the same interest. In more detail, This adaptor does exactly what it said it would. the instructions were very clear. and packed very nicely. it's compact enough to take next to no room in any camera bag. and the thing I was most concerned about, I've read advisories about these adapters (Not this brand but as a whole) blocking the mirror from flipping properly from being too close into the body. This one did not have that problem at all. Another concern was it's ability to support weight. the old FD lenses were not lite being made of glass and metal, but this has been no problem at all I've had a telephoto hooked up to it without any concern of it falling off or worse yet damaging the mount's on the camera body. as I said at the start the adapter is made very well. of nice metal and glass there is nothing on it at all that would make me feel like it was cheap. If I could change one thing it would be the color. the bright blue ring stands out like a sore thumb. but hey you're taking pictures of other things so in the long run it does not matter how it looks doing it.As you could imagine using a FD lens you'll lose all your snazzy features that the lenses of today offer you. there is no image stabilizer so for someone like me that's a little of a set back I can tend to bump the camera at times so a tripod is almost a must, there is no autofocus it's all done by manual (I mainly shoot with MF at any rate though) aperture is semi manual. you do have the ability to set the light sensitivity of your camera and than adjust the lens aperture but that leads into a trick I'll detail in a second, as a whole this is a amazing adapter that I wont be without from now on. it allows me to use all the lenses my grandfather's and uncle gave me rather letting them just become forgotten about.Depending on how your lenses were taken care of they might need to be taken in for cleaning. the ones I have gotten were always kept in a thermal camera bag and never bothered so they're great. but a lot of them have dust even meldo in them. don't let this put you off. they can be cleaned and brought back to their youth by a professional and still more cost effective than buying that lens new. different lenses are different quality. I've had amazing luck with my 70-200, 35-105, and 100 macro, but had a little bit of a love loss with a 50MM prime. it just was not as clear as I wanted it, this is in no way due to the adaptor however it's a factor of the lens itself. but the reason I brought it up is to say one lens may look bad but don't knock this adapter for that, try again and see if you can get better results. That pretty much wraps up my review of this adapter I'll now go over the trick, I found that adjusting the "Install" ring can allow you to manually over ride the aperture of the lens. I found often times when the picture was just too dark and turning your shutter time to 30 seconds didn't do much either. that turning the ring back towards the install mark would allow the image to brighten up substantially, being that the ring is free turning there are no clicks it's a great way to get that perfect brightness just like using a dimmer knob. when I get the chance I'll be uploading pictures I've taken with this and the lens used. hope I was able to answer some questions and should you have any further questions or just want to discuss it over all before buying feel free to let me know I'll be more than happy to go over it with you.

Fantastic item at an even better price!
Five Stars for what you get for such a low price. These tubes are made sturdy and look to hold up for years. For those that gave bad reviews, let me explain a few things. Macro really requires a tripod. For really close-up macro photos, you want tack sharp. For those that said these tubes do not work... it is simply you don't understand the purpose of the tubes, or you do not know how to use your camera outside of Auto, or you do not understand the concept of a focal plane. First of all, there is no way for the tubes to not to work. Their sole purpose is to move your lens further away from your camera. That is it. If your lens attaches to the tubes and your camera attaches to the other end - they WORK! If you can't get a focus, it is operator error. There are many, many instructional videos on Youtube, check them out. B&H, Tony Northrup and Scott Kelby have some really great ones. Secondly, you must understand what you are essentially doing with the tubes. They move your focus plane so a camera lens with a, for example, minimal focus of 3 feet can get much closer. But also understand, you can actually move the focus plane inside the lens itself where you will never get a focus. Those having trouble using these tubes, try using the smallest tube first, by itself. See where your item focuses at ( if using a fixed lens, move back and forth to find where it tries to come into focus). Then as you get use to the smallest tube, move up the line trying each tube. When comfortable, then start adding them together. A lot of the problems I see with these tubes, I would bet, is trying to throw all three tubes on at once and not realizing that your focus plane is probably only an inch from your lens. Also, when using these tubes and getting really close to the object you are photographing, your depth of field will become ridiculously shallow. Watch some instructional videos on 'Focus Stacking' to address this problem. I had to focus stack a nickle because when the nose was in focus, the eyes were not. This isn't the tubes malfunctioning, it is due to the depth of field. I took these tubes out of the box, "Read the instructions" for nothing more than how they attach and how to remove the lens from the adapter. Popped them on my camera as I suggested above, one at a time, and got some fantastic photos. But of course, I studied the process and science of how they work so I wouldn't blame a simple tube for me not getting a picture in focus. And lastly, the complaints on aperture is baffling to me. You would want a wider open for best detail and speed at a close range - a stopped down lens could take a few seconds which you may not have. With an open aperture you will get a very shallow depth of field though but the previously mentioned focus stacking technique takes care of that. But if a different aperture is needed then Canon cameras have a fix, as mentioned previously in other reviews. Simply set your aperture with your lens first, then hold in your depth of field button and remove your lens. Your aperture will stay at whatever you set it on. Then attach your tube(s) and put everything back on your camera. Other camera owners, if you have a similar solution, please post it for the non-Canon users. These are a fantastic item for a great price to get your foot in the door with macro photography. It certainly beats flipping your lens around backwards like I use to do in film days. But just like the first time you took your camera off of Auto... you had to practice, study and shoot to get proficient with the tool. You must do the same with these tubes. Put in the time for practicing and researching, because the result is definitely worth it! Enjoy and good shooting!

Fits just right
It’s perfect - exactly what I wanted, it’s thin so it doesn’t throw off the focus

Spot on lens when stopped down.
The adapter fits well and works well to control the aperture but, once you close the aperture you start to see a weird black spot in the middle of the lens. I've tried it with all of my G mount lenses and an F mount lens and all of them have this issue. Maybe there's a shift in the flange distance that causes this. Who knows. I think I'll send it back for a refund.

Recebi o produto
