As a woodcarver, I am always looking for the best “Finish” to the carving process before the “Finish” of the painting process. This hook and loop 1” pad is by far a “gotta have” for any person who is serious about their finished product or artwork!I have found that it is important to understand that too high of an RPM with the Dremel setting will cause the centrifugal forces on an imbalanced sanding pad to overstep the holding power of the hook and loop system (wear your safety glasses) and it will fly off like a Frisbee! And if you don’t notice the absent sanding disk and you keep ‘sanding’ and notice black streaks on your artwork — just know that it is the melting of the black plastic hook and loop system!! (or so I’ve heard … ahem)After learning to stay within the parameters of the product I have found this is a wonderful tool and a time-saver overhand sanding! Buy one! You will not regret it.

I had to replace the male Velcro side it was totally inadequate and the discs wouldn’t stay on it works perfectly now

The shank bent the first time I used this product. It’s too much trouble to return it where I live. I can’t tell how the sanding was. I didn’t get a chance. Very poor.

These are good quality and hold up longer than I expected for each one. I use them for restoring skillets and will be ordering more in the future.

I chose this product because I needed the base and thought sandpaper supply is always useful, since I gi through quite a bit in these particular grits. The base was exactly the same I have been using, but the sandpaper turned out to be poor quality. Took me a moment to realize lack of progress on a polishing project was due to the sand paper, not the surface.

It would be helpful to identify the sanding disk grit and the other pads which maybe just for buffing.The sanding disks to clog up with Linden or basswood but can be brushes off for continued use. I like this item very helpful

J’ai acheté ce quit pour poncer une table de chevet qui avait "cloqué" dut à une exposition à la pluie. Je ne dirais pas que c'est pour des professionnels, plutôt pour des petits rajustement comme dans mon cas. Il est vrai que les "disques" ne sont pas clairement identifiés, mais ils sont livrés dans des sacs séparés, il suffit de ne pas les mélanger.... au touché on peut facilement définir lesquels ont un grain plus dur ou plus doux. Pour moi c'était très suffisant.

This would of been a great product but the problem here is that the shaft/foam part shakes very much as if it’s not balanced and yes the sandpaper is properly installed dead on center. This vibration is very noticeable on my Dremel at #1 speed!!! So I can’t really use this because of this vibration making detailed work almost impossible. 😊👍UPDATE; I just tried it on a Dremel flex shaft and the vibration are 90% gone so it’s workable. Keep Dremel speed at #1 or else vibration will be greater and maybe may loose a sanding disk. Gave an extra star 3-4.

Great little tool however I did notice because it is a little top heavy. It does make a Dremmel vibrate a lot.

It's too bad there isn't some sort of visual indicator to know which grit is which.
