A thick, in-depth book on composition. It really covers everything involved it determining how to compose a painting. Works from the Old Masters are broken down and explained. 4 tutorials and a gallery section. Est explanation of composition I have encountered.

If you new or been at it a while, this book helps with providing you with information on how important composition is when drawing, painting, or creating digital artwork. It gives several artists points of view as to what is important when attempting to tell a story in two or three dimensions.

This book is wonderfully made and carefully crafted, the information on it is on point and it's incredibly well written, at least so far in the book.The printed images have excellent quality you can actually feel the amount of tint they used.As a 3d environment artist working in the industry I can't recommend this enough.You wont regret it.

I am so greatful this line of books exists. I’ve struggled with the nudity contained and I don’t feel that the author has set the primary objective of making his teachings as clear and as it could be. Perhaps he will improve that in future books.

Me ha decepcionado bastante. Lo considero casi un engaño. Decidí devolverlo.A nivel físico está muy bien: buena calidad de impresión, encuadernación cuidada y una presentación atractiva. Es un libro de calidad. En ese sentido, cumple de sobra.El problema es el contenido. La parte realmente educativa es muy breve, apenas unas 30 páginas, y bastante superficial. Son conceptos básicos sobre composición y narrativa que puedes encontrar fácilmente en cualquier artículo online o incluso en Pinterest, muchas veces explicados de forma más completa.El resto del libro (más de tres cuartas partes) se centra en procesos de artistas, con imágenes paso a paso de sus ilustraciones. Esto puede ser una idea interesante si se plantea bien, pero en mi caso no me ha aportado gran cosa. Se hace pesada y aburrida. Es mucho más útil ver cualquier tutorial en Youtube. Además, personalmente, los artistas incluidos no me han parecido especialmente destacables ni inspiradores.Teniendo en cuenta que tengo otro libro de la serie, Artists' Master Series: Color & Light, que me parece magnífico, este se queda muy, muy por debajo.En resumen: buena edición, pero contenido poco profundo y de utilidad limitada si ya tienes una base sólida.

Das Buch ist eine gute Wiederholung in Sachen Komposition, schön veranschaulicht und die schrittweisen Anleitungen/Analysen waren für mich beim Üben sehr hilfreich! Absolute Empfehlung!
