The winch works very well! I use it with a pulley to raise my 70lbs bike to the ceiling in the garage. My only complaints are that the end of the steel cable got really frayed, but I just coated it in some quickset epoxy to bundle it back together and prevent further fraying. I think it would also be great if the rachet lock had a longer lever to make it easier to switch direction

I bought for small boat trailer and it has held up a couple seasons which has already paid for itself. Would buy again if needed.

I have purchased a second after the first one broke. The second has lasted no longer than the first. I use it twice a week to lower and raise the ATV ramp on the back of my trailer. I noticed on the first one that the idler was not turning and the cable had eaten through it about 2/3 of the way before the cranking arm broke off. On the second one the cable has been fraying and I cut my hand on one frayed piece. At this point I would NOT recommend buying this. I have purchased a nylon strap winch to try next...
