Easy to assemble - scale is great!
Good value for the price. I thought they were a little small but my husband loved the scale aspect. Easy to assemble whole stills providing a bit of a challenge. A bit of model glue was needed on a few pieces.

great set of ships at a good price
these ships are all really neat. i appreciate the fact they're all to the same scale and like to see how the sizes of ships progessed as the series continued. have had lots of fun putting them together and giving them a paint job while adding some extra details not given by the decals just to liven them up a bit.the only down side here are the decals themselves, have not had a lot of issues with them but have had a few occasions where they crack, rip, or don't fit properly to the section they are assigned too and have had to toss some and paint the area instead. i'm not overall upset about that last part though as in painting the areas i have a more personal touch to them, i just would have liked to keep them as complete out of the box as possible. the biggest issue i had with the decals though was that the decals for the enterprise refit were mislabeled on the instructions and so i had to use my knowledge of the ship and common sense with the shape of certain decals to apply them correctly.otherwise i would highly recommend this set to people who like simple enough models and star trek. these are going to make a nice display piece.

Accuracy and detail.
I purchased this model set to play Federation Commander with. A Star Trek board miniatures wargame. These models are actually in scale with the miniatures designed for and sold for the game at 1/2500th. The models are easy to assemble and well detailed. But require a great deal of work to finish the decal application. Other than that the models come out very nice when completed and are very nice Federation Commander playing pieces.

Great Communication from Provider
Purchased as a Christmas gift. Arrived on time, seeled and box not damaged. Will update review once recipient opens it.Quick note: This product came with info just incase there are any problems which is great. Anyone who gets scaled build sets knows that the process sometimes misses a step and there may be a missing or imperfect part; so providing this info up front is a plus and greatly appreciated.

Great for any Star Trek fans
This is a great kit for any Star Trek fan! They are just the right size if you don’t have a lot of room. Them being all in scale to each is pretty cool to see how the Enterprise got bigger through the years.

As complicated as the legacies of these ships.
Ages ago, the tricky part of a build was the actual construction, and painting to be done, decals were an element, but a secondary one, we used to look down on "baby snap-tite" kits. Bandai and other, principally Japanese kit designers have to a real degree changed that landscape. THIS is a modern kit and as such, is "snap-together", is HEAVILY decal-centric, and given a difficulty level of "2". That is all technically true, but do not let it mislead you. 1: the physical models ARE theoretically snap-together, (almost ridiculously easy to actually assemble, but the reality is getting rid of significant gaps and preventing looser pieces from falling off WILL require glue (I recommend a "Thin" variety). also (especially with the smaller but older ship models) the relative fits can be "off" which will mean that carving and sanding are almost required, and in a couple of spots, putty which will then require some painting. 2: Painting is almost comically minimal, and with the smaller ships, can be tricky, but ultimately not a big deal (the Enterprise C, comes in an almost robin's egg blue plastic, which some find inaccurate and may require a complete ship paint before decaling, but this is an individual preference). 3: Decals (the kit description notes "Pressure Sensitive decals, but that's not what came with mine) - The reality is this is MUCH less a plastic model building kit than a plastic model deacaling kit. With the exception of the TOS/TV Enterprise, almost every square millimeter of these models is covered with decals; in many instances large or complex-shape area decals. IF applied well, the models can be stunning, but absolutely will require much patience, time, frustration, and decal setting solution. (Presumably), due to the age of the kit, decals can be cracked and (especially in the smaller ships) can be tricky to apply accurately. Even if applied accurately, the complex shapes can cause the decals to warp and slip and require repair. Over 95% of the build time can be spent on tricky decal work. None of this is truly "difficult", and the key tools will be patience and Zen, but can cause frustration. Once done, especially, if displayed as a group when the myriad of small problems (misaligned or inadequately fixed broken decals, misaligned nacelles etc) fade into the tapestry, the set can be quite stunning, but it will take real work to get it there.

Good but not perfect
The box showed up a little crunched but that happens with limited stock. A couple of the models didn't fit tightly together and require glue and/or puddy. 2 of the larger stand that has metal posts did not fit into the intended mount holes in the respective models and had to be modified with an angle grinder w/ a same wheel.
