Very Picky Hat guy; Future Melin Fanatic
I am a super picky hat guy, I have a small head and on top of that its shaved. Most hats are designed for people with hair so there's a lot of excess airspace above my head typically. This hat while it comes in Small still has the same height profile as a regular hat. So while it fits my head perfect in circumference it still a bit too tall for my head to fill the front of the hat. It could be just how they style their hats since the front of the hat has a pocket on the inside. If my head did fill this space I image I couldn't use the pocket. While I have these gripes so to say, I am actually super happy with it. The side profile of the hat is perfect and while the front is tall for my liking it doesn't come off bad. I did try the Melin Odyssey before the A Game and It was a little too point for my preference but its a good cross between a typical trucker and a baseball cap. As for the quality, its the best I have ever seen. I go through hats every 4-6 months. After a while of washing them from sweat from the South Texas heat or the salt of the beach they break down very quickly. I look forward to seeing how this handles its but I haven't seen anything with this type of fabric and thickness of material and typically the only hat that handles sweat stains are hiking hats that are designed to get wet. Still those tend get wrinkles and begin to lose their form. Overall I am loving the hat, the fit, the quality. Maybe a few months from now I'll come back and append my review with whatever arises but right now I am thinking I will be a life long Melin hat wearer from now on. TLDR; -Amazing quality -Good for small bald heads -A little taller than a typical baseball hat or dad hat -I am gonna buy more

Honestly, worth the splurge.
This is one of my favorite snapbacks ever. I unfortunately, quite literally, have a big head and that makes it difficult to find caps that fit well. The Melin A-Game comes in XL thankfully and I love the way it looks, feels, and its resistance to both sweat and stains. It's super breathable and comfy to wear for a round of golf or a day at the beach. I've tried dupes before before, but the quality is honestly different. The only thing I'd change on this is the price... $69 is a lot to pay for a cap. But I have a feeling this one is going to hold up for a long long while.

I was super skeptical
Yes, it's expensive, yes I was doubtful. It started with one...now I own 3...do they stain eventually, eventually if you sweat in them, yes...can you wash them and they look good afterwords, yes...are they awesome of you have a big head, yes...are they less hot to wear than most hats...yes.... albeit, you are wearing a hat..but its better than most temperature wise..are they built like a tank....yes..you can tell the quality is high compared to most....will it change your life? no..maybe, if you're life is about hats....is it worth the money? yes...give one a try...all shall be revealed.

Great Quality, Not The Best Fit
Built like a tank. I'd call it "the Yeti of hats". Only reason removing a start is because the fit is a bit odd for my head which affected the comfort, but that is subjective. Quality, breathability, style are all fantastic.

The only hats I wear now - Big heads
My whole life everyone has always told me I have had a big head. I like hats, but finding a good one is hard. I preferred the look of fitted, but even the larger sizes would leave a little red mark across my forehead. The trend has moved away from them, anyway, and back to snapbacks. I've always had to use snap backs with the last two buttons as the only security because they are made for average size heads. Even XL versions have a similar issue and it just looks goofy. The Melin A Game XL I have at all but 1 button on the snap back and the hat itself has a little bit of stretch that it allows room for a good fit without a tight squeeze. So, no red marks, no goofy looking huge gaps around the enclosure, it's just good. The price seems high, but I think it's worth it. I have them in the all white, all black, and gray with black brim. I sweat a lot and go through white fairly easily before it doesn't wash well anymore. I also get my hands fairly dirty and readjust the hats as I sweat. I am honestly shocked that this is as clean as the day I bought it and I haven't washed it once. I haven't even dunked it in water to test the cooling of it. All 3 of my hats, which I wear 1 of the 3 daily, are in the same condition. It feels lightweight despite being a XL, it doesn't move at all either with all the windows down and the sunroof open. I have to work hard to nitpick anything about these hats. If I had to try, the logo placement on the underside of the brim is a built in "finger guard" or whatever you want to call it. When you grab your hat it's supposed to be a good placement for where your thumb goes to prevent getting it dirty. I have never once put my thumb where they located it to adjust my hat, I grab much further forward. But still, even where I do grab, no marks.

High quality, but inconsistent builds.
I've had mixed experiences with Melin. My first black hat was perfect. They are the thickest most robust hats I've tried and have better build quality than the cheaper alternatives on Amazon that seem similar in photos but not in person. However, the recent order wasn't quite right. The sewing on one wasn't as tight and had a fat crease look on the front left. The sizing wasn't equal and one was close while the other was a full notch bigger. Both made my head look too big as the front part seems larger than my first Melin hat. Even as tight as it goes that wouldn't go away. One was closer than the other at least. Sad to send both hats back as the general thickness and quality otherwise is great. So, I may try them again in the future, but I wish I could try it on before I buy it. If I could try them first I'd definitely go for it so I could whittle down the oddly sized ones and find the right fit and sewing job. At $80 I'd hope for better QC on sizing and consistency between hats.

Yeahhh… no
Expensive? ✅ Uncomfortable? ✅ Poorly made? ✅ I’ve bought 3 Melin lids. My dog hated one so much he ate it. Another went through the wash and didn’t live to tell of it. And this last one? The front of it was so unforgiving it left an angry red dent in my forehead. Adjusted the strap. Too big, won’t stay on. A friend suggested I stretch it out from the inside with my hands a few times to ease the pressure in the front. It seemed to work, then the second time I tried it the adjustable strap ripped out. I am done with $80 hats, guys. Hats look cool tho 😆.
