This graphic novel features the early adventures of the teenage vigilantes known as Cloak & Dagger. It opens with "Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man #64" where Spider-Man first encounters Cloak & Dagger who are on war against drugs. Then in "Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man #69-70", Spider-Man once again encounters Cloak & Dagger as they takes on Silvermane. Then in "Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man #81-82", Spider-Man have another run-in with Cloak & Dagger as they take on the Kingpin & of course, the Punisher who also after the Kingpin. Then in "Cloak & Dagger #1-4" tells you the origin of how Tyrone Johnson & Tandy Bowen became teenage vigilantes known as Cloak & Dagger. Detective O' Reilly wants to arrest them while Father Delgado wants to reform them. Then in "Marvel Team-Up Annual #6" Spider-Man and Cloak & Dagger joins forces to help the New Mutants. Then in "Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man #94-96" (during the events of "The Alien Costume Saga"), Spider-Man & the Black Cat must help Cloak save Dagger from Answer while get caught in the middle of the war between Kingpin & Silvermane. Then in "Marvel Fanfare #19" featuring a Cloak & Dagger standalone story. And the story concludes with "New Mutants #23-25" where Cloak & Dagger deal with a power struggle with the New Mutants. Great graphic novel. If you're fans of the TV series "Marvel's Cloak And Dagger", this book will tell you everything you need to know about Cloak and Dagger.

The story and illustrations are terrific! Very engaging characters with complex relationships and lots of action.

If you care to read Cloak and Dagger's origins and everything about how they started, I would recommend! There's some neat crossovers with Spider-Man, the character whose book they originated from, as well as Punisher and the New Mutants here! You do get loads of interruptions with what Peter Parker is doing, but at least they are really great highs in Peter Parker's history! Cloak and Dagger have elements that are fascinating and intriguing start off here, but man oh man, you are going to get some real repetitive loops with them. The New Mutants crossover is a real highlight, both because I'm a huge New Mutants fan and it was a treat to revisit, but also the way Claremont gives so many fresh explorations to Cloak and Dagger really does make it a necessary crossover in every way!

If you are a fan of marvel epic format don't let this book pass you by. It's basically a marvel epic collecting all the early appearance of Cloak and Dagger. I hope marvel continues to collect their appearance and do a volume 3 and above.

Great to have the old Cloak & Dagger stories back in print after decades. Writing by Bill Mantlo is top notch, even by today's standards. Highly recommended!

Cloak and Dagger are two of Marvel's lesser-known heroes. Despite this they are no less intriguing or entertaining than any of their more mainstream peers. This volume contains all of their earliest appearances, including their origin story. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about the characters themselves.

Cloak & Dagger are underrated. Bill Sienkiewicz's art is awesome and the issues of New Mutants that he did,wich are in here,make this even more worth getting.
