Bees: A Honeyed History

Much time and creativity was put into creating this Bee Hive of a book!

I first found this book at the library. I work at a library, so I rarely buy books, but I had to purchase this beautiful book. The illustrations are excellent, and I love the size of the book. It is filled with so much more information than expected about bees. If you are teaching about bees or love them, this is the book for you!

This book is so beautiful and interesting, but this is my second copy from Amazon. It looks like many of the pages have light grey ink or solvent drops of various sizes, possibly a poorly printed run. They do not look like they are a part of the artist’s design at all. They are in the same places in both copies of the book. We are a family of professional artists and None of us can make any sense of it. I haven’t called to return this second book because mainly I am just so confused by it. Has anyone else had this experience with their copy of this book? Is it meant to be this way? The splattering and drops are not attractive and are even on otherwise black pages in the book. It’s a strange situation in an otherwise gorgeous book.

Absolutely love this book. So much so we bought another and the 'Tree' version.With Bees: A Honeyed History it takes you through the process of a bee's lifecycle, as well as how they pollinate, create honey, etc. It also has a history of different time periods and how honey was significant in each.Highly recommend!

Get it, you won’t regret

What a wonderful book! Interesting facts, great illustrations. This book is BIG! Great book to have your kids sit on your lap and look through.

By the the COOLEST book we have ever gotten our hands on to learn about bees. This is a BIG book filled with beautiful pictures and engaging content. This is good for kids and/or adults. It is a treasure of a find.

My parents own an apiary so when I saw this picture book I had to get it for my kids. The illustrations are huge, most are like vintage natural science charts. The text is very small at the bottom of the pages, kind of crowded. It might be difficult for younger kids to read because of the font size and layout is different from how the text in kid's books is normally spaced. However, this is an awesome book to read with kids or simply for adults who enjoy honeybees. I can't wait to show it to my parents.

This book was even better than I pictured. It's a very generous, extra large size so you can see all the detail in the illustrations, and absolutely full of information.I bought it as an Easter gift for my husband to read to our kids (he's really interested in beekeeping, and it's been a nice way for him to share his interest).Really enjoying reading this book myself and love that it's in our library now.

Cercavo questo libro in edizione italiana ma risulta introvabile allora deciso di acquistare in inglese è davvero benfatto bambini bellissimi disegni interessanti nozioni che contiene. I bambini lo sfogliano volentieri, le dimensioni sono poco più di un A4. Mi era stato consigliato da un’amica che produce miele con le sue arnie e api, come miglior testo in commercio sull’argomento api. Spedizione amazon impeccabile
