I purchased this toaster because of the many good reviews and thought I had hit a winner. I didn’t. The toaster is very attractive, bright red color, quilted pattern looks great on my counter. When I put one or two slices of bread in the toaster,It only toasts on one side, the outer side. I have to admit it that most of the time when it does toast It does a beautiful job of toasting… On one side. I have to flip both slices around in order to toast the other side. Not very convenient and it shouldn’t work this way I’m sure. The toasting is often spotty and sometimes the edges don’t get toasted at all even though they are fully within the slot. I’m hoping this was just a defective piece otherwise you will be very disappointed. It didn’t seem worth the hassle of sending it back so I’m keeping it but I’m not satisfied. The two stars are for looks only.

I just received this toaster yesterday, immediately unpacked it, stuck two pieces of bread in it, and tried it out. Absolutely perfect! The toast was evenly browned on BOTH sides (a rarity, in my experience!), and done exactly the way I like it. It has a nice streamlined look and takes up no more space than my old toaster. I have only tried it once, but I have high hopes for continued success. (I will update if that changes.)

Love this fun retro toaster. Heats evenly. Nice looking addition to my kitchen.

Good toaster! It looks (as it's designed to do!) as if it came from a 1950-60s diner, which is fine in my kitchen!

Great looking toaster that makes great toast. A setting of "4" makes perfectly browned and even toast.
