We have used a bug zapper with and without these and not sure if there is a difference. They are easy to use and add to bug zapper. They are odorless to people.

Ran it with no light (board shot) and only the intake fan for over a week and did not get a single mosquito (with a noticeable increase in bites about 15’ away). Did not attract ANY insects at all- empty basket! I even used all 3 pods after a few days and still nothing. One pod got wet in the rain and there were medium sized ants all over it. I pulled them out from under the lid and put them on top overnight and still just ants. I added water to the moat and still nothing. I’ll just toss them in the basket until my LEDs arrive (DTrap manufacturer refused to send me a replacement board so I’m going with blue and green LEDs). Not sure if I will try the non-octenal bait.

I guess this works, it is sure stinky!

We use these with a mosquito trap that has a UV light. We tried it using one sachet, and saw little difference in the number and frequency of mosquitos. We moved the trap around the corner from our entertainment area, added two sachets, and the difference was profound. We had the ankle biters in the daytime, and the native California mosquitos in the evening. Besides moving the trap away from human activity, we also lowered it to the level of the ground we were getting bitten. Be strategic. It reduced our problem by about 75% or so. We still use the smoke sticks when it is not breezy.

No evidence that this tiny lure draws mosquitos without the purple light in a Dynatrap unit. I have plenty of mosquitos in the area, so that is not the problem.
