Moore’s book is a wonderful combination of fiction and fact. Readers can experience Joe’s adjustment story and learn about Alaskan moose. The book is packed with suspense and humor which makes it hard to put down. It also promotes positive family values and prized library resources. I hope Moore writes a second book about a girl who adores Alaskan whales and competition swimming—my 11-year-old granddaughter would love it! First, I'm giving her this book as she is moving to a new school this fall.

Loved this book! I love books that "take me there" and this book took me to Alaska. I'm a lover of books and worked as an elementary school secretary and feel children will love getting involved in this story!
