Lew's MC4HV Mr. Crappie Mega Spool, Hi-Vis

Great line, good price great name and hivis. The High visibility really helps in high and low light conditions. I use a fluorocarbon leader just in case. It probably doesn't matter but if it's HiVis to me I feel like it might be to the fish too. Sill all in all I love the line. If you have the time, let the spool soak in water for about a week. It takes all the memory out of it. Learned that from RGFM. Go fishin when you can cause it's gooooood fer ya.

This is exactly as described, hi- visibility and low memory. Perfect for crappie fishing with great cast ability using 1/32 jigs. What I like to do to make even more low memory is to hook or tie the line to an object and walk off as much line I can and stretch it good and tight, and then reel it back on your spinning reel, it really makes big difference.

I have fished with 4lb excell for the last 25 years. My eyes are getting bad with age and I can’t see the the clear blue flourecent and excell doesn’t make the bright yellow. So I bought the mr crappie. Believe me when I say that vicious 2lb is much stronger. I have reordered 8lb mr crappie with hopes it’s at least as strong as the 4lb excell.

I’ve used the line for 5 months now. Tiny in diameter and you can put more on your spool. Great line. Great bait feel with 1/16 oz jig. You will get odd tangles and it’s best to just cut and re-tie. This doesn’t happen often but they are a mess when it happens. I will for sure buy more and continue to use.

This line is pretty standard for high visibility 4lb test. I ran out of my usual Sufix Elite and thought I’d try this. It’s nowhere near the quality, but it gets the job done and is almost 4 times cheaper.

I bought this line as a recommendation from a fellow angler. I have caught many decent fish and have never had a problem landing anything. My buddy hooked and boated a 7lb blue cat on this 4lb test line. I was absolutely stunned. I knew he had a hog on but didn't tell him about the line until after the fish was in the boat. Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!

Have had an excellent experience with this line this spring. It is exactly as described by Wally Marshall, strong yet supple, almost braid-like compared to other monofilament brands (I was a long time Trilene user, never again). It works very well on smaller spinning reels and haven't had one birds nest yet will casting 1/32 oz tube jigs under a float, something that happens more than occasionally with other brands. Great line, buy it.

My father is just now getting into Crappie fishing and is rigging up our gear. He specifically asked for the 4lb High Vis line by Mr. Crappie. It went on the reels easy and we can't wait to try it out on the fish.
