The serum is a very nice serum, it is a little bit heavy and sticky so you don't need a whole lot, once it goes on it's not sticky it's saturates very well into the skin and it gives the skin a very nice glow. You can tend to get the bronzing color stuck on your hands so it is best to wash them really well after applying. And for me I only apply it a couple of times a week or it gets too dark. If you have a facial scrub you could always utilize that periodically to remove and add a new layer of the bronzer. It is a nice light moisturizer as well.

I’m not a huge user of self tanning products but I wouldn’t say that I have zero experience. The types I’ve tried are gradual tanning lotions that are already mixed so this product was a bit different from what I am used to. I first tried one drop mixed with a dollop of body lotion and rubbed it into my excessively pale thigh. I really didn’t see any difference the next day so I figured that I probably needed to use more product. I waited about 2 weeks because I wanted to see the results from one application, not two. This time, I mixed two tanning drops into the same sized dollop of lotion. I would say the lotion was a little larger than the size of a quarter coin. After mixing, I rubbed it into my thigh again. I purposely left an area untreated so that I could clearly see a difference if there was one (I did this the first time as well). I didn’t see any results until about 24 hours later. In some ways, the tan looks natural and is subtle however there is one area with quite a bit of streaking. Honestly, I’m not sure if it was a user error and I didn’t mix it thoroughly enough or rub it in enough or if the product is just difficult to use. I’m kind of leaning towards it being a mistake that I made and I have a feeling that someone who has more experience with self tanning products wouldn’t have a problem. One thing I can say for sure is that the color is very nice and natural looking. It doesn’t look orange and I really like the fact that it’s customizable to suit a variety of skin tones. I would say that if you’ve never used a self tanning product before you should experiment with this in inconspicuous places on your body until you feel like you’ve figured out the right mix and the right way to apply. If you already have experience with other products, I have a feeling that you’ll end up with much better results than I did and you’ll probably love the sun kissed tone that this product provides. I love this. The scent is milder than usual for this type of product. I am getting makeup for a tanned/darker skin tone. I never thought of that before. All I know is that self-tanning will also look blotchy, so that is a perfect solution. Also, rubbing vigorously or not putting it on evenly will give you a mottled look. So the makeup does even it out, leaving you looking pretty. I love tanning in the morning, and the nighttime self-tanner from the same brand is perfect. I mix these with a super-moist cream and a sponge or smooth them well with my fingers. Only apply once per day, because when you use the nighttime one, that will be too much. There are tanner extenders that also work well. I own one from a different company—however, applying moisturizers can make a more even skin tone by adding a darker foundation. Discoloration of blemishes, scars/marks, and sun/age spots can be avoided. Using a couple of drops in the morning and at night helps me. I put on a night cream as well. Apply on smoothed and clean skin.This is a problem with almost all self-tanners, even better ones like these. You can use a facecloth and oily remover to fade this blotchiness, rubbing evenly. This technique works well for many reasons.This is a price I can love because there is a lot on bottles. The nighttime one is in a smaller bottle, but not by a lot.This is a fun way to improve your look on the face, neck, decalage, upper/lower arms, collarbone, and more. I am more concerned with what I see in photos. A dark face and white neck, and more are unattractive. Wearing darker color clothing suits me in photographs. Sometimes a collar or a more flattering, less revealing neckline will look nice on me with brighter colors. I have blonde highlighted light brown hair. I am looking forward to my hair being longer, framing my face. Exposing my cheekbones and eyes, minimizing the forehead and above my eyebrows. I am usually a pale, once olive complexion, now looking on the cool side, calling for a bit of warmth. I will do that next to go with this red color. Drab hair will not work with that color, and this tan, either subtle (for me), or more extreme, which I cannot do without my wrinkles, fine lines, and uneven skin tone, will not be complementary.This lovely and safe product calls for even application, transparent formula, a couple of drops per face, neck, added to moisturizers or face oils—great value - worth it for both products.Enjoy!
