They used to be great. But with cheap Indian cotton and the obvious ...
I am a professional window washer. So I had hoped these were what the said they were.. it has become harder and harder in the modern world to find things of quality. I have been washing windows for twenty years and "Surgical Towels" used to mean the ones left over from the hospitals. They would use them once and discard them... then the janitorial industry got a hold of them when they were washed. Sold them as prewashed, you could tell every once in awhile you get one with a hole in the middle to account for the surgery needs. They used to be great. But with cheap Indian cotton and the obvious Chinese influence on every good ever produced... one can only expect a degree of less and less quality as we move forward. What was once expected to find a product of quality. They always have to account for an increased demand and stretch and stretch available resources to produce less and less profit. This industry is no different. These towels are better than the cheap terry cloth that flake constantly but even after several washes I'm finding they disintegrate to flake within several and the size and obsorbtion are not stutter for professional detailing of any kind. Great kitchen towel for cheap. Don't be fooled by the pattern in the photo that is a throwback to the true surgical towels of old.. just another cheap modern knockoff. It's better but I'm still looking for the old style that worked. No flake. Nice weave when you hold it up to light nothing comes through and lasting durability. Fantastic obsorbtion in those old towels. The market just get polluted in this day and age. I've looked all over. They are almost impossible to find now. The market has closed in on the good stuff and the rest of us get knockoff stuff touting some brand name and doctored photo for squeezing profit to survive. Barely two stars considering the product isn't what it says it is ..but it is what it is now a days

Material has changed
Second time of purchase, using for tea towels. First purchase a few years ago was really great, but they’ve changed the material and these new ones are definitely less absorbent, even after washing on extra hot several times. They wrinkle horribly on the first 8-10 or so washes (as did my previous purchase), but eventually they will soften up and come out the dryer relatively wrinkle-free. I like these for everyday tea towels as they are thick, large and sturdy enough for brutal kitchen use and will survive hot washing/sanitizing cycles. I preferred the old fabric but these will do.

Work well but must be washed separately.
These worked good for absorbing water and air dried fairly quickly. But I don't like having to wash them separately from everything else.

This towel is like the "original" surgical towels - thick and very absorbent
This towel is like the "original" surgical towels - thick and very absorbent. I like that it is a larger size than the first such towels, but has not changed from quality. I have found a few of the newer manufactured towels to be much thinner, less absorbent, and to fall apart easily while the really good ones are like the EverReady Bunny - just keep on keeping on. The only aspect which one might find an adverse issue with is that my towels lost their perfect rectangle shape and slightly become a bit more a parallelogram in shape. This, obviously, does not take from the quality of performance. I am VERY pleased and would definitely recommend. I use them for kitchen towels.

Good for Glass
There are a lot of similar products on Amazon. I'm quite happy with these, they helped get the inside of my auto windshield the cleanest it's been for a while... an issue I've struggled with forever. The towels seem durable enough to me and did not have any issue with the blue dye running. I would buy again.

Like most reviews there is a mixture and you never ...
After reading the reviews I was a bit skeptical. Like most reviews there is a mixture and you never know what you are getting into. I'm very happy with the purchase. For a few dollars a towel I feel like they are great quality. They are even better than a few small surgical towels I brought home from the hospital. The stitching is good quality and I really like the material. Very absorbent too. After washing them they seem to have shrunk a little but not enough to be a problem. I also washed them alone and with other laundry because a few people commented that lint might be a factor. I had no problems with lint washing them either way. Highly recommend as a kitchen towel or shop towel.

They work great
Size is perfect for vehicle cleaning and they are so absorbent they leave zero streaks on windows and mirrors. Not sure how long they will hold up but I'm ok if they last a couple truck washes each.
