Posted video also. dont mind my face i was looking at my phone because i thought it would drop while i was revving the engine lol. I placed it on top of the Cold Air Intake so you can hear it. If you have a subwoofer hooked up to your computer like i do, it sounds really good almost exact. I just got this CAI for my 2007 Silverado (NBS) and installed it the same day. Let me tell you if you are looking for a performance upgrade for your Truck. This is the way to go. at First i was looking at the 77 series, i believe it was the 77-3058 and did a little more research. The only real difference is the Chrome intake tube and a smaller gain of Horsepower than this product. On top of that the 77-3058 costs 30-40 dollars more(price referenced from Amazon). So if your looking for more on looks then probably the 77 would be better for you. Me personally i dont go around opening my hood in public showing off my engine, and i would rather go with the more horsepower with this. All that is said so far this CAI is amazing and it sounds really good with my Flowmaster Super 40 muffler. I am an amazon prime member and never wright reviews but i had to on this one. Anyways here are some things to take note of. Its not bad at all Installation. Well it was really easy for me, im not a vehicle mechanic, but i have experience in replacing small parts in my truck like headlights,oil,tail lights, belt etc. just the basic stuff but I am a Apache helicopter mechanic for the US Army so i guess im used to it but if i have to rate the difficulty level on installation it would be really easy even for someone who is starting to do DIY stuff on their vehicle. The instructions that come with it are fairly easy to read. Its just the bolts and nuts thats hard to tell which one to use even though it is labeled in the instructions in weird names like "bolt1/4lock" something like that. I dont remember that stuff but i still figured it out. Its too easy. installation time for me was about 45mins. For a beginner maybe an hour and 30 mins tops. also comes with a heat shield/cover on the top. Performance. Increase Throttle response was really noticeable and it does not sound like your engine is struggling anymore because of the intake. I was surprised on this one, i drive mostly freeway and suburb type area not city and within a couple of days my MPG went from 17.3mpg to 19mpg. I have a V8 4.8L engine so results may vary on your driving and area. But man I tend to punch it at stop lights now haha. it sounds so good. another thing is it comes with a Million mile warranty and you would never have to replace your filter ever again, just clean it after the recommended amount of miles/months. 5/5 Packaging. If you are getting this item from amazon then your item is secured. The product box was in a regular box. they opened the product box and stuffed it with some type of storopack. Everything came in undamaged and still in their plastic cover and the Filter was in its own box. 5/5 Overall. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product (K&N makes great reliable stuff) EASY installation. Purchased the K&N 77-3058KP Performance Intake Kit from Amazon a few weeks ago. Aspects from my installation and experience as follows: - PRICE: (HIGH VALUE) Pricing was less than $100 from other competitor pricing. - ORDER,SHIP AND HANDLING: (EXCELLENT) Shipped FedEX, Double Boxed from Amazon. Container very well protected, - INSTALLATION: (EXTREMELY EASY) MODERATE Skill for the mechanically inclined. Instructions were very easy to read and use. Step by step pictures. NOTE: Had to refer back to exploded Bill of Material occasionally to know which bolt or clamp use. Bit of a nuisance and minor inconvenience. BTW, if you don't have a 5/8 drill bit, you will need to buy one. Those are not "normally stocked" toolbox items in my opinion. - MPG PERFORMANCE: (IN PROGRESS) MPH improvement still UNDER EVALUTAION, but initial 30 day reading indicates a 2.5 MPG improvement. - HORSEPOWER : (AS STATED BY K&N) Horsepower improvement NOTICABLE. - MATERIALS, COMPSITE, CONSTRUCTION & ASTHETICS: (HIGH QUALITY) High materials quality and definitely compliments the engine compartment. Durability under evaluation but history and reputation shows K&N has high marks in the area. - RECOMMENDATION: (HIGH) - PROBLEM AREAS: (MINOR) Only area was the need to drill the third mounting hole (5/8" bit). I would have expected K&N to adapt to existing holes. I would recommend this product to any performance "tweaker" out there looking to maximize engine performance at a reasonable price. I would definitely buy this product again.

Overall I am satisfied with K&N's intake. I installed it on my 2008 Silverado 5.3L. The instructions were pretty bad. They make you guess which screw is which from a tiny little picture. Plus they said I need to drill a 5/8" hole to mount it correctly. Whats the point of making a custom intake if it doesn't even fit in what its made for? I didn't drill into my truck. The 2 other mounting points were more than enough to hold it in place. It gives my engine a bit more of a roar and the extra horsepower is noticeable at higher RPMs. I don't care about gas mileage, though I haven't had it long enough to see a change. I'd still recommend this product to anyone with a GM 5.3L truck. It is an excellent value here on Amazon. Its more than $50 cheaper here than anywhere else.

Can't say I've seen an increase in fuel mileage but hasn't been long since put it on, also at same time installed an pedal commander since seemed throttle was very slow on the truck, but it isn't loud or anything inside the truck and can only hear it a little above like 2000rpm when giving it gas. Everything was there except for one coupler, had one laying around that fit so had no issues there but had no problems installing everything otherwise, did add some heat reflective exhaust tape to box and seal around corners, know it doesn't look the best but does help keep the air colder coming into the filter

I would like to say I am a experienced mechanic, but I did find the instructions a bit confusing. I had to assemble and disassemble twice before I got it right. A simple fix would be a sticker on the pieces showing airflow on each part, as well as some ID of the hardware. You have to really measure the bolts and nuts to make sure you have the right parts securing the right pieces. Id did end up taking me 90 minutes from start to finish like the instructions said it would, but it was confusing and irritating having to "re-do" most of it a couple times. I don't remember having these issues on my past K&N installs on my other truck. This was on my 2007 GMC 1500 with a 5.3 engine. It runs better, is louder, and has much better "pickup and go" as promised.

I took my 2008 gmc sierra out before I installed the cold air intake, and put the petal through the floor! Drove right home and 30mins after I installed the new system. Did the samething. Wow what a difference! More horsepower and way better sounds. Should have bought it sooner.

Initially had an engine light when I put this on, my fuel trim was +20. Turned out I forgot to hook up the crankcase vent tube that is on the side of the intake, engine light is gone and it runs like a dream. Thank you

Performance as K&N posts!! Installed on a GMC Z71 2007 crew cab 4.8L. I really wish I recorded a "before and after" but I can tell the performance at 3500-4500 rpm has increased. Gas mileage is better by about 1L / 100km. Travelled 3.5 hours the weekend after installation and noticed the change. Sounds much better too. Bought this to help tow the travel trailer and I am convinced it will do what I need it to for helping up the long hills. Minimal space used under the hood as well, the factory intake has two polyp looking things on it and covers 1/3 the engine, seems to be a waste. Really wished I installed this years ago. Price on Amazon was the best by far, hundreds, yes almost 200-300 less than local parts and specialty stores. Shipping with prime super easy and arrived ina couple days - delivered on a Sunday!!

Awesome product. shipping was quick, just as advertised. Just the only thing was that this product had 2 items missing. I called up K&N and they rectified the issue right away. 10/10 for customer service. the best part was they Fedex it to me and I got the missing items in 3days!!! must great. for the product it self decently increase horse power my truck sound GRRRRRREAT and there was a small increase in my fuel milage. defiantly recommend this product.
