I liked everything about the shirt except the problem with the buttons and buttonhoes. They were extremely difficult to deal with because of the size and the loops and the small buttonholes

I'm 5'6" and it's too long for me. Would suit me better if it was 2-3 inches shorter.

One of the buttons came off on the first wearing. Other than that, it's exactly what I wanted for use in old West reenactments and a play about life in 1890s and early 1900s.

Had ordered the same shirt from a different company..at almost twice the cost and in a navy blue. This one mimicked that same shirt but is somewhat different in cut and collar design. Biggest difference is the quality of the material used. this one feels something like cardboard/burlap. too bad because I appreciate the style, but the quality of the material against my skin is a big negative. the old adage "you get what you pay for" really applies here.

After listening to previous reviews on small sizing, I picked an extra large. It was perfect! Great, unique styling! High praise from a person with an enormous wardrobe, and always in search of a piece that is very well tailored, and never seen in any setting. I paired the shirt with an Italian hand woven linen john varvatos, blue with pin striped white very light weight scarf. The scarf is a $300 piece, purchased from Real Real, for $50, with tax and shipping. To secure the scarf in my BMW Z4I used the mid-century Stradivarius Lobel Sterling silver modern pin. The Lobel modern piece has increased by a couple of grand to my pleasant surprise. Mid-century quality is collecting gold, as my Calder desk mobile gives me a smile of a good eye. The beauty of the simplified form is often its greatest eligence.The shirt, has beautiful fit and form. The neckline is unique and smart looking. Along with the buttons, the sturdy linen is a smart style unto itself. Many complements. So many for a shirt so inexpensive, and the look of a handmade piece, that fits like a custom bespoke piece. Let’s start with my dimensions. I’m 5’11” and a slim 150. All arms up top.I had bought this shirt in a large, before. The fit was loose. I wasn’t upset with it and still wear it. However, I decided to go down a size to see if I could get a slimmer/snugger fit. This was perfect. In a dress shirt, I’m a 34/35 in the arms. The fit on this shirt hit that sweet spot. As far as the chest, I’m not small but, I’m not barrel chested either. The shirt fit *just* right there. So, if you are larger up top, go up in size. Shirt length: if you plan to wear it tucked in, go up in size. It’s just isn’t long enough to reliably wear it tucked. For reference, I’m a 32x31 in pants.Hopefully, this helps.

Tbis is an amazing shirt! Great style and material. I think its 50/50 linen cotton. Fits great. I'm a tall thin guy and have a hard time finding shirts that fit. The measurements are in asian size so order a size or two up. You should be fine if you read their measurements icon. This shirt does the trick in every way. The style is a beautiful ballance of Eastern and western style combined. If the company keeps making these shirts, I'll keep buying them when they wear out. They made a perfect classic shirt, no need to change anything. I hope in the future they make the XXL in black, army green and grey... The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I wished they came in more colors. Like black, maroon and dark grey.

It is starting to fray a bit (might be expected with such a delicate material), but is a nice fit and classy look. All in all I am satisfied.
