Squirrel Repellent
The last couple of weeks of the dry spell we're going through here in the northeast US seems to have emboldened the local squirrels in my neighborhood to repeatedly go after lower hanging tomatoes in a small patch we're growing. After finding most of the ripened tomatoes half eaten we were getting a little desperate for a solution. Found this product searching around on Amazon and figured ... can't hurt. It's been a couple of weeks now without a single "attack." We spread the repellent all around the base of the tomatoes which seems to be the cure. Pellets stood up well to the last 5 inch rain storm we just had. Would try again.

Don't waste your money
I thought these would work because the garlic mint odor was strong and making me sick just smelling the combination. It did not work. I used two on the tree, one on the top and the other on the bottom where the squirrels were climbing to get onto my deck, but it did not deter them at all,. So I placed 4 balls at the top next to my deck and 4 at the bottom and they climbed right up past it. These little varmints are persistent, and I have a whole family of them. I have sent for hot sizzling ground cayenne pepper powder, which I will mix into the bird feed as the gardening store told me that might do the trick.

Works as advertised
Had this just a few days and I’ve already seen results. I’m a nature/animal lover so a few times a year one of them might try to hole up in the garage. had a couple of baby squirrels try to set up shop in an unused dog crate. Got the nest out, closed off their access to the garage but left the doors open after putting down the repellent balls. closed it up after dark, nothing there now for 6 days even with the baiting I’ve left out. Kind of like mothballs but not as dangerous (yes, mothballs are dangerous left out in the open, especially if you have kids or pets - be careful with them!)

Worked pretty good!
These did a pretty good job of keeping whatever is trying to eat my plants and roots away. However my dog did try to eat them as well so be careful about that. If you have a dog I recommend you use the little bags they give you that will deter the dog somewhat. I will definitely purchase them again next year in the spring!

Waste of money
These had some odor when I opened the package. However it was not enough to deter a single squirrel. I hung the ball on a wooden post next to a platform feeder used to feed blue jays, woodpeckers, cardinals, etc. and put some peanuts in the tray. Before a bird had a chance, a squirrel went right up the post and cleared the tray of peanuts. The next day I found the ball on the ground with barely an odor. The string on the bags is so thin, you can hardly tie it in a knot. I was not surprised the ball was no longer hanging on the nail in the post. I would absolutely not repurchase. Waste of good money.

Birdfeeder Lasts Longer
I needed a solution for squirrels to keep off my Birdfeeder. We had no idea how they got on since it isn’t near any trees and it’s high off the ground. So glad I found this squirrel repellant. I tied one of the baggies to one of the perches and taped one of them to the top, and no more squirrels! Best of all, it doesn’t bother the birds!! I recommend to any Birdfeeder enthusiasts who would like to keep their Birdfeeder absolutely squirrel free. Well worth the price.

Smelly liquid leaked in bag
Each individual ball is wrapped in plastic, and those balls plus the mesh bags are in another sealed plastic bag. I opened the larger plastic bag and pulled out the contents, and it was all covered with greasy stinky liquid (the stink used to keep the squirrels away). I really don’t think it it was supposed to have leaked like that, and all the mesh bags were saturated as well. It was a mess. I had to grab some latex gloves and try to salvage it all. We shall see if it helps with the squirrels!

easy to use
They were easy to use. Each came with its own little drawstring bag for use. Unfortunately it did not work on my mom's squirrels. Apparently they are immune to whatever is in this stuff. They went right on digging in the flower patch.
