All the Best, George Bush: My Life in Letters and Other Writings

I read this book years ago, and purchased it as a gift for my father after Bush passed away. My father also loved it. This isn't your typical book by a politician. Instead, this book offers a level of insight and personal reflection often not found in books about or by politicians. Regardless of your opinions about Bush, I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in history, politics, or the making of a historical man.

He loves this book and highly recommends it. I purchased as a Christmas Gift for him as he is really into politics and anything to do with politics at this time.

I bought this book as part of the research for my own book about personal note writing, and I was so inspired to see that someone with as many other commitments as President Bush had still felt it was important to write personal notes and letters to so many people in his life: family, friends, and even casual acquaintances.Beyond that, the personal correspondence of this great man is a window into his private life, his thoughts, his joys, his heartaches, and his incredible role in our nation's history. Reading his letters, which are in chronological order in the book, is a bird's-eye view of several tumultuous decades of history. GREAT!

I am enjoying this book! It's well written and I like the fact that it includes pictures and a list of names in the beginning of the book to refer to when a name comes up in a letter! Also I like the comments that President Bush included about the letters and what was happening in his life around the time they were written!!
