neat product
i like this product because it lets me fold down my seven foot antenna on my Jeep to let it fit in the garage whenever it may happen to find its way in there. seems to be pretty solid and reliable. i use a 7ft fiberglass FIRE STICK whip, which is pretty heavy with a 5" spring combination, it seems to work well. keeps from having the whip antenna bent over for extended periods of time. please note that this will change the hight of your antenna and you will have to retune it, which it pretty important if you want to get the most out of your gear.

Works ok would have preferred the threaded style
Works as expected only thing I don’t like is it seems loose when upright as in it has play it the joint that can’t be tightened or adjusted think im going to order the other style that threads down inside of this spring loaded style

It's just a bad design overall
This adapter is extremely "loose" in the upright and locked position. It will cause your antenna to wobble all over the place- very surprised how much play there is. It's just a bad design overall.It seems more secure when folded over, but folding it over is very difficult to do since there isn't enough clearance built into the mount itself to fold over without grinding down a portion of it.

Bad Design with a good idea!
When you attach the antenna to the recessed portion of the fold over.........The fold over will not work due to the fact that the diameter is greater than the sleeve that is supposed to slide up in order to be able to fold over.Would have been a good idea with a larger diameter so that the fold over would work with a normal 3/8 /24 fitting.

Pretty good little solution to making clearance a possibility
Pretty good little solution to making clearance a possibility. However once tightened down the antenna won't fold down in a desired direction.

Keep away they fall apart after a short time
The little pin comes out with just a few months of use... I do a lot of radio stuff and I highly do not recommend these...

Poor construction.
Poor design! Nearly impossible to fold. Too loose and wobbled around which cause my mount to work loose. Returned it. Will not try again. It's easier to unscrew multiple ham sticks.
