So I have a high stress job and one of my coworkers brought a medical device that does something pretty similar to what this is supposed to do. When I tried his, I was in a trance of relaxation. I thought this would be equivalent, but I was wrong. This item is just not for me, when I placed it on my ears it felt like needles were being stabbed into my earlobes, and I had no sense of relief nor calming affect. Also, it’s kind of a pain in the butt to return it because I have to get FedEx or UPS to come pick it up.

I’ve tried a bunch of different devices of this type over the last ten years. My go-to is one that cost around 500$ that I’ve used successfully periodically when my insomnia flares over the last five or six years.This is a decent low cost / entry level device for figuring out whether this type of electrical stimulation will work for you or not (and there are plenty of people for whom it will not!). It’s not going to last forever, but it should work for at least a few months of daily use. Materials are fairly straight forward for new users in terms of usage, but may not provide a lot of additional information.Based on comments other have made, I feel like I need to clarify that these devices are not meant to be used at levels that cause pain, or really anything beyond a *not*unpleasant* tingling (which will vary from person to person). Also important: the level you use is not like a weightlifting session where the goal is to raise the level higher and higher over time to demonstrate increased muscle strength. As long as you don’t experience discomfort at the *lowest* end of this device’s capabilities (and, of course, you WANT to continue to use it), it just means that you can continue to use the machine until you need to raise the level when you develop a tolerance for longer than if you needed to start out higher in the device’s working range.You really need to use it for several weeks somewhat consistently (longer if you use it less consistently) to see whether it is effective for you (assuming you don’t try it once or twice and just hate it, which definitely happens, too)…that makes the Amazon return period a challenge for this type of device, but also makes it hard to invest even more money in a higher quality device without having an inkling that the device will work for you.

It started working right away. I started sleeping better immediately and after about a week I was sleeping 9 hours again. And I slept good for about a week. Then it started getting weaker and I thought I was just getting used to it and needed to turn it up but then I kept having to turn it up and eventually I was using it on full blast and it was barely doing anything. Now it's not doing anything at all. And I haven't slept in 3 nights. So I ordered a new one. I'm hoping this one was a dud and the new one will be good but if it breaks too after just a couple weeks of use I'll have to dip into my savings and buy the real alpha stim. If you can afford to buy the real one, do it. If you can't, this one will work. For a little while.*update*The second one died after 2 weeks too and I had to return it too. Don't waste your time and money.

I have pretty horrible anxiety and it worked well to lessen the severity of my symptoms. It got rid of the chest pain/tightness (whatever you want to call it) but not some of my other symptoms. Definitely going to continue to use it.

I purchased this item 8/17/2022. I used as recommended in the product description and have continued to use it with no help for my insomnia. It is past the 30 day return window. It did not hurt until 1/22/2023. Although it did not relieve my anxiety or help me sleep.This product makes my earlobes feel like they are being pierced with needles even though I followed the directions. In the product information the company states:💖 Regardless of your dissatisfaction with this product for any reason, please contact us and we will provide you with a satisfactory solution.I am unable to find contact information and wondering if I got a defective machine. Very dissatisfied as I am unable to locate customer service and support. Now I’m stuck with an expensive torture device.

Electro therapy I have anxiety so it really helps me out you do 15 minute treatments every night and move it up by one level but other than that I really really love it

I suffer from GAD and insomnia and was exited to try out this product. And those of us that have acute anxiety will try just about anything that is not illegal to have more normalcy in our lives. The first unit I received was defective and a replacement was quickly issued. I had no problem getting the second one to operate. The problems started after the first use. There are no guidelines or protocol instructions on what level to start or how high you should go or how long a session should be. I found that this “ magical” device only made my insomnia and anxiety 3 times as bad after using it. Not to mention, it also fries your earlobes no matter how low you set it. Thanks but no thanks. I realize that everyone is different and am only sharing my experience.

Love the ease of this test at home. Went to a sleep study and didn't feel comfortable enough to even sleepy so dont feel the results were accurate so this device has been great for at home testing in my comfy environment .
