A Wireless Dremel Version, Priceless!
This is a quality tool that's easy to use, has a long battery life and because it's 'wireless' is very functional outdoors when I work on my vehicle away from electrical power sources. No cord to get in the way either. Thumbs Up!

Powerful Cordless Dremel Perfect For Chain Saw Sharpening
Excellent Cordless Dremel tool that I purchased for sharpening my chain saws using a Dremel optional kit yet of course works with most all the other dremel accessories, blades, disks etc. Battery charges easily in its own charger and enables the tool to function at 35K easily. While more costly than a corded model the portability more than makes up for this. I have not expeienced any overheating. While the tool is a bit larger than a corded model I would order it again if needed.

Perfect and needed
Just what I needed. I have already gone through two off brand one in the last year because they were cheap & so am I. lol but this time I decided to get Dremel brand and pay the extra couple bucks for a longer lasting product and this one’s lasted so far no complaints.

Excellent equipment battery makes it so portable, but battery is hard to remove for charging
Everything I expected from a Dremel tool, portability, battery charger gets it usable in only a couple of hours, long enough battery life for several hours, speed adjustability, lightweight, works great, fits same tools my corded Dremel uses. Unfortunately, the battery is impossible for me to remove from the tool. I honestly have to take it to a very strong neighbor, who can barely remove it.

Great tool overall. Match this with a bit kit for deductive machine work and man you can make some small projects precise. Great value for cost.

Great for indoors or outdoors!
The Dremel 8240 is a cordless, battery operated tool, that can be used indoors and outdoors equally well. It is powered by a 12v Lithium-Ion battery with home charger, extra batteries can be purchased for more outdoor time. The tool has variable speed from 5,000 to 35,000 rpm controlled by a small rotary dial. Build quality is very good ant these tools will stand up to hard wear. Very easy to use, the size is not much longer that the ac mains version. The design looks very good with its two tone light and dark grey body. For its size it is very light weight and it works great. I love it as I can usit for little jobs on my car as well as the workbench. I would advise owners to invest in a Dremel 3-jaw chuck wich makes using small drills a lot easier. Great tool highly recommended.

Not the queen of battery dremels
But extremely close. Long battery life. Extremely fast. 38k rpms i think. Leveled up in jewelry designs and wood craft
