Difficult to Setup - You may think they are broken at first - READ THIS
Initially I just slotted all 6 sections together in a straight line - ONLY 4 sections would react to controls the remainder just stayed off white/blueish. I shuffled around the sections still the same. So I decided to link it to the TUYA APP this was not too difficult but required you to disable your 5ghz signal otherwise the lights time out before connecting. Also the TUYA app you need to Select -Lighting - Strip Lights Wifi-Ble you will not find Wall Lights as the instructions say to use untill AFTER you add the device. Once you have connected the device to TUYA app you then need to go into the Settings and increase the length of your strip to say 2 meters then ALL SECTIONS work as they should.I only gave value for money 3 stars as the units are not very sturdy and the instructions are barely adequate to get you going. But the lighting effects are pretty awesome and it does work with Alexa via Tuya so it does what I wanted it to do I am going to buy another set as I need a longer strip pity you cannot just buy the additional bars instead of a whole kit.

Terrible
Only half of the light bar worked only showing half of the gradient. The overall quality of the lights were poor for the price of them and the overall connecting of the lights was a complete tangent. Almost had to break the connectors to get them together. All I can say is a joke of a product.

Too bright and doesn't work with the music function
The lights are good and very bright. But the music function doesn't work with music, and you can change the sensitivity but it only detects sound of you physically tap the receiver but not if you place it near loud music.

Slightly misrepresented in publicity shots, but still worth a look!
The media could not be loaded. ConstructionThis comes in a nice compact printed box which could be used for storing it in. All the separate parts were individually wrapped in soft polystyrene bags to keep them pristine. It consists of 6 lengths of pluggable LED strip inside a plastic tube which can be flat-mounted to a wall or other surface using the supplied double-sided sticky foam pads. There are also two corner pieces which can be used to make shapes with the straight pieces. Unfortunately this is where I got a bit annoyed with it - let me explain - all the pieces are embossed with little arrows and the method by which they are joined together is via plastic joining pieces - a bit like "fishplates" if you have ever put sections of model railway track together. These "fishplates" plug into a depression in the ends of each straight section and join them electrically via three metal tracks. There are enough fishplates supplied to join everything together - the corners also have the depressions each end where the fishplates plug in. The fishplates also hold the individual pieces together by locking into place, but they only fit one way round, due to the constraints of the LEDs which wiill only work on one polarity. Now to the annoying part - the corners are arranged in such a way that it is only possible to make a sort of "lightning bolt" layout with the parts, and not the U-shape that is shown in the publicity shots - no matter how I tried it was not possible to put all the pieces into a U-shape. Nor is it possible to make two separate L-shapes either as shown in the publicity shots - unless you are prepared to solder some wires to join the two sections - all have to be plugged into the single joint that attaches to the power supply. I found this incredibly frustrating, and ended up just using it as a 2-metre strip with the corners on either end (the corners have an LED inside too) I suppose if you bought two sets of these it would be possible to do more with it, but it is quite expensive already and the manufacturers really should supply parts that at least do what they suggest in their pictures.ControlsNow with the niggles out of the way - what did I think of it? Well, funnily enough, once I got to grips with the app (It uses an app I already have installed on my phone - namely "Smart Life" - I soon found it in Smart Life and got it working) I really like the set patterns, and there are dozens of them to choose from, and even made up my own sequence involving red white and blue and named it "Jubilee" in the app (heh heh, what else?)It really is quite colourful and jolly and lots of fun too. You can set it to just show one colour or an animated display with lots of colours if you want. There is a timer too, and even a "sound-to-light" feature, although I had not a lot of success with that. There is an inline switch in the power cable, approx 1.5m from the Power supply plug, to select on/off and "sound-to-light" mode, with another approx 1m of cable to the lights themselves. There is another button in the middle of the inline switch marked with an "M" but I still haven't figured out what that does, it appears to be "mode," and switches from moving display to static, I think.I have just tried to get Alexa to switch it off and on and failed totally, it appears that it is not communicating with my Router, although I can control it just fine using the app on my phone.ConclusionI have marked this down because of the minor, but annoying, half truth of the manufacturers pictures on Amazon showing something that isn't possible to do with parts supplied. On the whole I like this and it functions well enough, the lights run smoothly along the strip with no discernible gaps where it joins together, and it is quite colourful and controllable.

Looks simple but full of features
My son was ecstatic when he saw this. He already had a makeshift light converted from a strobe lamp but this one is designed for the purpose. He set it up and gave me a shout to come and look. It looks quite simple and nothing fancy but the light effects and options are awesome. You can have all sorts of patterns and even choose to have only certain sections lighting up. The app is comprehensive and endless options to play with.I did have an issue with the USB-C socket though; It came loose and fell out. My son was quite upset so I dug out my tools and set about fixing it. I had to Straighten the minute pins, refit the socket and bend over the tabs to keep it in place but it still wanted to move. Again I fixed it in place and then covered the socket with epoxy resin, clipped the case shut and let it set. Job done!I couldn't discard it because it's actually a fantastic neon light and looks great on his wall. My advice would be: be gentle plugging in the USB-C cable and try not to wiggle or push it in and out any more than needed.

Decent background lights
Pretty nice lights overall. They are priced towards the high end but the difference between these and the others is that they are already assembled and ready to go from the off.The lights are also covered by a defuser so the light blends really well. All controlled by the all mighty smartlife phone application.Pairing was easy as always. The lights are the brightest but That's not the point of them, they are there t be ambient background lighting.Very happy with these.
