Works for what you need them to do
they work great for pine. if you are using a hardwood id recommend 2 pairs to lift the wieght. 3rd coffee table ive made like this so there is a bit of a learning curve to install them and the complaints about them not coming with screws should be icnored. because the depth of wood varries. i just use cabinet screws cause they have a built in washer and clamp down on the hinges well. another tip, install the bottom of the box of the table after you install the top with the hinges so you can just build it upside down.

this product arrived on time, was easy to use and holds up a solid wooden table top. highly recommend for projects

I was contemplating buying one of the lift-away chest coffee tables off Amazon, but I really liked my one chest for how deep it was. I didn’t really wanna change it so I just re-stained it and put these hinges on and still 10 out of 10 recommend it has a lot of storage and it allows. You can still stack up all the way to the top of the bench and there’s no problem.

Surprised that it worked so well
I like the product. Would have given 5 stars, but it doesn't come with screws of any type. Installation wasnt bad, didnt come with directions. I was concerned that the top of the DIY coffee table wasn't going to hold it down, but they work perfectly, both up and down. I've eaten of it a couple of times, no problems.

Strong and sturdy!
We converted an old cedar chest into a combination storage and computer table. No directions were included with the hardware. A fun puzzle, but it turned out great.

No instructions for installation, very difficult to install. I I will never use this product again or recommend it to anyone else.
