How does it hold up to usage? i know 5160 steel is tough, but their hrc for this item seems a bit low. anyone have issues with the edges rolling?

I have the Council Tools Pack Axe that I purchased from Self Reliance Outfitters it is made of the same 5160 steel and will take and hold an extremely sharp edge. I tested it's edge retention on the end of an aged and downed section of Red Oak about 10"-12" thick making cross grain cuts and also cuts with the grain, the axe was able to chop through with relative ease. Even after this the axe edge was extremely sharp and still able to make shavings from the same piece of hardwood.

Where was it actually made (not designed)?

USA. It’s stamped in the side of the cutting head.
