When your mason bees deserve the very best!
This mason bee house seems like a perfect fit for my particular environment. A huge butterfly garden, well populated by various bee species, is only about 8' away. Regular sprinkler cycles should provide plenty of mud.Hanging the bee house at about 7' height, attached by chain (not supplied) to the soffit, should protect it well from our weather here in Gulf Coast Florida (Tampa Bay). Our weather can wreak havoc with both metal and wood. This bee house looks like it will last very well in its new home.I am not sure how functional the 3 vertical slots on the lower half of the bee house will be, but the paper and wooden tubes for mason/mortar bees are correctly sized for their intended purpose.It may take a while for my bees to find this house, but they should be pleased when they do!

Cute but not well made
EDIT: The company followed up with me extensively to try to figure out what happened and how to remedy the problem. They sent me a new bee house in hopes that the one I originally received was an anomaly. I feel confident they have a real interest in providing a quality product. Customer Service has been excellent. I have not yet hung the replacement in the garden but, at first glance, it does appear to be more sturdy.I have spent years getting rid on non native and invasive plants on my property and replacing with natives to help the pollinators and other critters have a more balanced ecosystem. I added this little house because it could prove useful and look cute. Pollinators started using it immediately so I was thrilled. Unfortunately, after a few weeks the brackets holding the rope used to hang it just popped off and it dropped to the ground and broke apart. Great idea, looks great, just not well made.
