Does the screwdriver have a ratchet function?

I'm giving these as gifts. Is there instructions or diagrams in the box on how to extend the length?

If the adjustable shaft is important, be sure to give the non-ratcheting version. The ratchet does not have an adjustable shaft. I didn't notice any instructions, but it's pretty obvious. There's a metal ring around the neck just below the handle. Push this ring toward the handle and the shaft will slide in and out. Release the ring, and the shaft will lock at the nearest detent (notch).

The screwdriver i received does not have an adjustable neck. the images on the product indicate there is. The product box get the correct screwdriver?
