Hand Thrown Stoneware Pottery Mug with Tree of Life Mug or Tree of Gondor

I received the mug unbroken, and it is beautiful and seems well-crafted. I was shocked at just how large it was! The normal amount of coffee that fills a standard (large-ish) coffee mug only filled it about 1/3 of the way up. If I drank "one mug" of coffee out of this every morning, I'd be flying!My one criticism is that the beautiful tree artwork only appears on the side that would face a left-handed drinker, and we're a right-handed household. I find that design choice a tad bizarre. I would have thought the tree should appear on both sides, ideally. And if only on one side, then, it should be the side facing a right-handed drinker by default.That probably isn't a huge deal, but it's a bit off-putting when you're trying to admire it and drink out of it at the same time. Perhaps JR and Kristen might consider altering the design slightly to accommodate a change here.Other than that, it's (so far) an excellent piece. I would buy from Page Pottery again.

I ordered this for my husband for his birthday next month. The timing worked out that the mug arrived quite early. AI decided to gift it immediately, and the recipient was beyond pleased. It appeared to be smaller than the image indicated, but it holds a full 16 oz. it's a joy to hold and look at. The people who crafted it paid meticulous attention to detail and aesthetics. I'm rather jealous of the mug, and plan on purchasing one for myself.

I only hand wash my dishes & my mug handle broke 5 months after purchasing . When I got in touch with potter I was told I would get 25% off on new purchase. NOT HAPPY!!! I should have received a new one at no cost! Very disappointed as I was going to purchase 3 more. Needless to say I will not be.

I try to give those who make handmade items the benefit of the doubt. I expect subtle changes and or slight differences.Unfortunately, my second mug purchase the color was far off, the size of the mug is clearly stated to be 4.5 inches, instead it measured a hair over 3.5 inches high.Moreover, The mug did not hold 16 ounces “comfortably” as stated in the description. After adding 16 ounces of coffee or tea, one will not have room left for milk, cream, sugar, etc., without the beverage spilling everywhere.The mug is stated to be a “slate blue”, instead it is closer to a light grey with a few specks of ‘slate blue’ on the mug. (Photo attached)While I may have been able to overlook those issues if quality was present, which unfortunately it was not, the most significant problem was the FACT Page Pottery actually had the audacity to color or paint in the missing design aspects onto the finished (fired and glazed) mug itself -which promptly wiped off the glazed mug with my finger.Completely unsatisfactory workmanship.Reading the most current reviews it seems as if the quality of their work is slipping, they started out with many great reviews, but now the quality is steadily declining from 5 stars to 1 or 2. A true shame as this could have been an extraordinary piece.I would not recommend these pieces of pottery unfortunately.

I really wanted to love this mug and it’s really beautiful but gets hot in the microwave. It was a present for my wife and she heats up her tea in the microwave so I’m not sure she’ll use it much. I’m disappointed for the price.

I absolutely love this mug! It is beautifully crafted and I will be ordering more so I have a 4 cup set.Side note. It is patterned for left handers. So of you are right handed when you drink from the mug you do not see the design.I hope the company will start make designs on both sides so no matter what hand you use to hold your coffee mug you can see the beautiful design.

This is my third mug that I've purchased. Each one I love more. This is my favorite because of its size. Holds just the amount of coffee that I want. The weight is light, comfortable handle is easy to hold. Love how they make their mugs. Color is so nice and the way the rim turns in just enough so you don't have coffee running down the outsider your mug. Well made mugs. Best around.

Great mug! Has become a favorite for my morning coffee. It’s very well made and makes me feel nice and cozy when I use it. Love the shape and details. Arrived safely and well packaged with a nice handwritten note. Highly recommend!
