Game Changer
As an older woman camper, I had to come up with a solution to middle of the night needs. I tried this out on my last camping trip - what a game changer. It's sturdy and comfortable. That first time, I worried about how leak proof those bags are, but they're great - plus, unlike the folding seat where the bag just hangs down onto the floor of the tent, this design has a solid bottom, just in case. The gel powder works perfectly and smells fresh. No bathroom odors at all. The top of the bag is held securely in place. I kept it covered with a round tablecloth I already had, and put my lantern, reading glasses and book on it. Then, when it was needed for its primary purpose, it was super easy to just scoot those things onto my cot, use it, then return everything back to normal. I tried it out as a step stool (not raised to the full height) and it seems very stable. (But I love it as a toilet/nightstand so much that I wouldn't want to risk damaging it with regular use as a stool.) Then, it folds up so nicely and so easy to pack. Thank you to the genius who figured out this product!

Love this thing
This works great, very compact and lightweight, pops up and snaps together so easily and feels very sturdy. I’m so glad I bought this, it made camping so much easier.

Exactly what I was looking for
CompactLightweightEasy open and closeComes with Zipped storage bag w handleComes with a roll of poo bags.I like that the lid folds all the way down and gets out of the way.I was worried about the height of the seat being too low. It’s actually fine.I’m 5’6” and my son is 5’10” 170 lbs.We both tried it. It felt very sturdy (was not going to collapse under us). And yes it was not super tall, but tall enough for what we need it to do.We are not planning on sitting on it that long (reading the paper / doom scrolling while doing our business).I tried another brand which was a little taller and a little wider- I liked that one too. I am going with this one bc I’ll be using it road tripping in a van and every inch of space is important to me.So this is my pick

Really Awesome. Love it.
Add photo?...some can't handle that one! Lol!...I think this thing is really an awesome item. It's lightweight and very portable. It's easy to clean and folds up nicely when not in use. The only drawbacks are that it's a little small for a 5'11" guy like me. I have a hard time getting situated. Also, it also does not have a curved edge so it kinda cuts into your bottom if you have to sit for a while...kind of a buzz kill for the ol' morning coffee! I would say it's not for the squeemish, but it's manageable. I double bag with heavy duty bags and use the gel powder. I've had no leaks or other issues. I put half the powder in before and the other half after use. Also, I found that if you add a cup of water, it allows the gel a chance to encapsulate "things" much better. The powder has deodorizers in it. It doesn't eliminate odor entirely, but it's a big improvement. I have a snap lock airtight container to put spent bags in and it contains the odor just fine for a day. You need to get rid of it pretty quick, though or things get ugly. Those doggie bag stations are perfect for disposing of it. You can also use regular trash, that's where disposable diapers and depends end up. Sanitation departments aren't thrilled with it but they know it's a reality in a big city. After that, you can air out your airtight container for a day in the sunshine and it's good to go for next time. I use this on my sailing yacht and also for camping. It's not that great as a car toilet. I only tried it once in a rain storm and it was not a good fit. You can make it short, but even then your head is hitting the roof of your car. You would be way better off opening the car door and sitting it on the ground. That does however, present privacy problems. Keep in mind the bathroom privacy customs that western civilization feels are absolutely imperative were made up before microscopes were invented. No one knew what really caused disease. It would be easy to confuse activities involving public nakedness with sickness and death because they often involve an exchange of body fluids. People back then thought illnesses were caused by evil spirits or curses from God....this probably gave rise to the prudish world we live in today. The Romans had no privacy whatsoever and they did just fine without it for a thousand years. They shared bathing, toileting and sensual activities in plain sight of others. Biblical figures knew Roman social customs, not the prudish European ones we have today. No one felt their dignity was being lost, and there was no need for shame or ridicule. Everybody had a mature way of looking at the human body. Sounds nice. There's a handful of cultures around the world that still have similar practices....that being said, challenging deeply held social customs is risky business. The same people that threw Galileo in jail for saying the planets revolve around the Sun will be trying to hunt you down for not following their archaic social customs. You figure out how you want to handle that part. Be careful. All and all, there's a lot to using to this, but it's one of the best things out there when you need it. Good luck!

Great to have for that NEED to go
Bought it, finally had to use. It set up like I had done this forever (keep instructions, follow). Very sturdy, well designed. Came with a roll of bags but I also bought the package deal with extra bags and "poo gel". I double bagged, draped over unit and I used 2 of the powder (they're small). I use nitrile gloves, and also have antiseptic hand wipes for my wrists and hand clean up after tying up the bag. No odor. Great products!!

I was scared to use this toilet!
I was afraid to sit on this toilet because I was afraid it was going to accidentally come undone and collapse down to a couple of inches and leave me sitting in my own pee. I set it up and with the lid still on it, I sat down on it to see if it was going to come falling down. It didn't. I wiggled around a bit to see if I could make it collapse down (I was hanging onto the nearby sink just in case). It remained upright and felt sturdy. The only downside for me personally is that it is rather short. I have a fused spine and I wasn't sure I was going to be able to bend to sit and then get back up again because it is so low. I ended up putting it on a little wooden step and that is where I used it. It made it the exact height that I needed and was very easy to get up from. If you find the height lacking like I did, bring something to set it upon and it will be perfect.I also was afraid that the bags appeared to be too thin so I double bagged it with the bags that I use for my office trash can from Costco. It gave me more peace of mind. It never did leak and I just kept throwing away the inside bag while leaving the Costco bag on there.Oh, I also put a couple of paper towels in the bottom of the plastic bag just in case of leaking. I figured if it was going to leak, at least the paper towels inside would limit the amount of leakage.I was very happy with how small it folds down too. Well, I was once I got over the fear of it collapsing on me while I was sitting on it.

Possibly plastic issues
Looks good. Only opened top clip 4/5 times and plastic clips look stressed. Wondering how long these will last.

Adjustable Heights
I bought this as it can go higher than most portable toilets. Used it once and it leaked. I need stronger and better bags. Very hard to open the 1st time.
