A lot of people are saying it's unusable due to the kinks. If you have a hairdryer it takes seconds to repair.Hold the kinked tube vertical and use the hairdryer to apply heat. When you see the plastic soften the kink should disappear.If you don't have a hairdryer the same repair should be possible by pouring hot (NOT boiling) water over the kink.When the kinks have been repaired it works very well and paid for itself on the first job I used it on.

The pump to transfer of liquid volume could be better if the pump was larger but this may affect the use?It worked well. I'm a plumber so will use it on lavatories etc to remove water. It works better than the other product I had before.

Perfect for the job and so simple to use. After use it all comes apart and can be thoroughly cleaned before packing away.

Very small diameter pipe, quality is very poor, pipe has kinks in it because it is so thin. you can buy a lot better avoid

I bought the siphon to empty the tank of a classic motorcycle which had lay idle with a full tank of fuel since before lockdown prior to getting it MOT'd a few days later.It arrived the following day, but whoever packed it into the Ziploc bag put serious kinks in the pipes by folding them instead of coiling them.The kinks were so bad that getting the petrol to flow was impossible, I ended up using some old rubber tubing which meant I might as well not bothered with the expense of buying the siphoning and gone straight to the "old school" method instead.

The pipe is very soft and curls up..tying on a bamboo helps, but it squashes the pipe. Very tiring hand squeezing the pump. A lot of effort for very little.

I used this to prime a Ford 1.6 TDCI Duratorq diesel filter. It worked perfectly for the job. Within 10 pumps I had filled the filter and removed all entrained air bubbles. I read that a few people have had problems getting it to pump, but I had no problems whatsoever. To get the bulb primed, I held the bulb vertical, squeezed it, and then when I released it put my finger over the end of the pipe, just as if you were priming anything else. To be honest, you probably don't need to do that as it has a non return valve but its habit for me to do it.The PVC pipe needed a bit of warming up to make it more pliable to get it over the filter outlet, but I was outside an it was 3 degrees Celsius so to be expected.Good bit of kit and worked great. Recommend.
