A must for piano students!
This book is just wonderful! I began taking piano lessons 4 years ago at age 56 (I already knew the basics of how to play) and I wish I had had this book from the very beginning. I've just barely begun going through it, but I can already see how helpful it will be for me to improve my playing. It starts off very easily but quickly becomes more challenging, and yet not too challenging. I particularly like the fingerings that it uses--really keeps me focused on what I am playing!

Much more fun to play than some other classic technical practice books
Much more fun to play than some other classic technical practice books. Only started in the beginning but already learning to pay attention to fingering. I predict I will only get better with sight-reading if I continue the exercises.

Binding came loose
Good material and content although the binding came loose after few use, not even half way through the book. The cover pages came off the staples.

A high quality edition with clear, easy-to-read print
Although there are cheaper versions available, I definitely recommend spending the extra 3 dollars on this Alfred edition. The print is large, clear, and easy for me to read.

Falsche Fingersätze
Die Fingersätze in den Etüden entsprechen nicht den Orginal-Fingersätzen von Czerny. Das Notenbild ist zwar sehr gut (größer und mehr Abstände), aber so leider trotzdem nicht gut brauchbar. Man muss wirklich bei jedem Stück einige Fingersätze korrigieren. Gerade für Anfänger ungeeignet.
