The easiest one cup of true coffee
The simplest time programable one cup ground coffee machine I have ever used. It has a small footprint and 3 volumes of water measuring, it gives a great tasting cup of coffee in a short period of time, great value for the money. Can drip after cup is removed but a small piece of kitchen roll under the cup solves that issue. Also is very easy to empty and clean. It seems a durable machine just right for me, being the only coffee drinker in my house and avoids having to clean the larger machines. Wake up to a travel mug of coffee that only needs the lid putting on.

Low quality
The lid broke on y to the 4th day of using. Though the product has 12 months warranty Amazons return date has exceeded hence I am stuck with a defective product

Makes coloured water with a hint of coffee.
We bought this on a camping trip in the UK when we discovered our Senseo had broken (probably frost had burst the reservoir over the winter in the caravan). Since we had several weeks' supply of Senseo coffee pads with us, we chose this one as it seemed to be a reasonable alternative and used the same pads.We tried everything to get it to produce the coffee we were used to from the Senseo pads, but concluded that it was never going to work as there was no way of squeezing the water through the coffee under any kind of pressure. In the end we gave up on the coffee pads and loaded it as full as possible with ground coffee. The result was messy and still pretty weak. We can only assume that the pleasant chap on YouTube who did a thorough 'unboxing' review likes his coffee extremely weak! This year we left this coffee maker at home and brought my sister-in-law's spare temperamental magimix with us that uses nespresso cups - the fact that I disapprove of all the metal cups (and that you sometimes need to fiddle a bit to get it to grab hold of the little cup) is far outweighed by the fact that it does actually make coffee.

1 star off due to size
Got it to use in my bedroom as the programable timer seemed handy BUT mainly as I believed it was compact in size, but WOW how big !!!The machine it's self looks perfectly fine & built well enough (although not used & won't be by me), but going off the product images I honestly expected it to be no bigger than a supermarket 4 pint plastic jug of milk (or even slightly smaller) BUT IT'S MORE THE SIZE OF A 6 PINT JUG & sadly that's way too big for what it is considering the other options available.I've added a photo of this next to my main kitchen coffee machine & a 200g jar of popular coffee for comparison.I'm not allowed to name it but that famous brand & very popular machine uses a large variety of pods & does a brilliant job with zero mess, I also have reusable pods for freshly ground coffee use so you get the best of both worlds, however it's a bit too bulky for the bedroom so I thought this Salter would be perfect. My previous machine was the same brand as that kitchen one but was considerably more compact & only got swapped for the one in the photo because it has an extra function that provides a slightly stronger brew & it was on sale, otherwise I was perfectly happy with the previous model which I gave away.I'm sending this back completely unused (repacked a minute after opening it) & going to buy another like my original as they're currently on offer for only £2 more than this. It also has an easy fill clear 800ml water tank & the rear of the cup holder has a large switch panel that you simply push a cup against to start it brewing. So you can pop a pod in it at bedtime, place a thermal mug on the dispenser, & then when you wake up you simply push the mug against the back panel of the dispenser to have a lovely freshly brewed coffee in under 1 minute. It'll be on a long low cupboard parallel to my bed that's only an arms length away so it's a simple matter of reaching over to start it brewing, so no real need for a programmer. HAD I KNOWN how big this Salter was I'd have just opted for another pod machine to begin with but unfortunately I'll now need to drop this off & wait for my refund. So, if you're thinking of this not only for the programmer but to save on space you need to check & compare it's dimensions with others that may have more features, less cleaning, & more capacity when needed.

Love this coffee machine
I absolutely LOVE this 1 cup coffee machine.Very easy to use, and I love that I can set a timer so there's a freshly brewed cup of coffee ready for me when I get up in the morning.Just a minor blip....do not submerge the travel cup in water.Water gets trapped between the double wall and I had to squeeze gently to remove it.
