The Best of Vangelis pour Piano

Having viewed many perfomers play Vangelis on Keyboard on UTUBE, i thought i would give it a bash. My current level of achievement is nearly able to cope with easy play. From that to a compacted piano score is a bit of a leap of faith.Having priced various options to purchase whether it be Download or Music Stores, i have continually found buying through Amazonto be the best option, whether it be new or used.As to the Best of Vangelis,.To pianists i envy and applaude your abilities, to everyone else like me and above, this is why.

This book supplies very accurate transcriptions of the most well known Vangelis music. It is a very thin volume and I think that the publishers could have given more pages to the music rather than relying on the musical terminology for repeating certain passages as this requires frequent and hurried backward and forward turning of the pages.

The book covers the life cycle of Vangelis at the height of his popularly with most of his famous compositions in great detail for the aspiring synthesizer music composer to expand there musical capabilites.

Covers some awesome tracks

This book offers a decent selection of Vangelis' music, and you'd certainly recognize the tunes if played as presented. However, the arrangements are rather simplified. That doesn't necessarily mean that they are trivially easy to play; rather that some of the subtlety of the originals has been lost.It's a little sad that there are unauthorized, enthusiast arrangements of Vangelis circulating on the web that are better than this official presentation. It's not bad, but I think it could have been much better.

The pieces comprising this book are mostly interesting for the piano player, and at a pretty acceptable standard. I was, however, disappointed that only one piece represents the film "Blade Runner" (even then the piece chosen was actually first used in an earlier Vangelis album). I would really have liked to have seen the famous Blade Runner End Titles in here but, apart from that, this is a solid enough music book.

Great book, too bad it's for piano and not guitar. Someone needs to make an arrangement for a guitar. Unfortunately this is way beyond my skill level.

Un gran libro de partituras, para todos los amantes de este compositor, con buena parte de sus mejores composiciones. No son partituras de nivel "Easy piano", pero es cuestión de dedicarle tiempo e ilusión. Buen servicio de Amazon, llego muy rápido, y en perfecto estado.

C'est une partition qui respecte la tonalité d'origine, même s'il faut 5 bémols à la clef !Je regrette l'absence de nuances plus précises, et surtout l'absence de doigtés.

Buena selección de piezas, aunque de momento estoy aprendiendo a tocar el piano y no he podido con ellas porque no son precisamente de nivel principiante.

Booklet is rather thin for what is costs, presentation and paper quality is ok, didn't get much into the actual music because of the condition of the book (see review title). I don't think it is an official Vangelis music book though.
