My dad used Tabac aftershave when I was little. I still remember the fine ceramic bottles on the bathroom shelf. Unfortunately, I never went for that classic fragrance... I was snagged early on by the Axes and Gillette concoctions... how a 'cool' man is supposed to smell, and regrettably lost a large part of my youth to those and similar bland fragrances and aftershaves.A few years back, I turned to classic shaving and received a tube of Tabac shave cream as a gift. I loved the scent and tried to look for the aftershave but couldn't find it anywhere and the few places I could find it, the price was really exorbitant. But Amazon came to the rescue and I found a great price on it so I bought it.It still comes in that iconic ceramic bottle and the scent is just heavenly. I'm not so good at describing fragrances but you could search for it on basenotes etc. The scent is a bit powdery, spicy, and evokes memories of times long gone... good, honest, carefree and fun times. It doesn't remind me of the 70's or the 80's or whatever... it really is a timeless scent. I apply it right after shaving and it doesn't have that much of a sting or burn as my other aftershaves. It's very soothing and leaves my face moisturized. After the initial application, the scent is reassuringly strong but it settles within 40 minutes to a subtle and elegant aroma that will not clash with any EDC I might also want to try. My better half loves it.I'm very satisfied with this purchase and I got 300 ml of it for an awesome price. It's a classic that deserves a place in every man's shave collection.

I know the OG scent of Tabac is quite divisive to people who are familiar with it. Especially those who Wet Shave. I happen to be one of the people who likes this scent.As my headline states, if you like Tabac Shave Soap you will like this aftershave.As far as the fragrance itself is concerned, it's a very traditional scent with some floral notes. The floral notes give it a bit of feminine touch, but not enough so where the scent would be consider "unisex". It's spicy, a bit woody, and a tad of musk to provide a very unique scent that I enjoy.The other thing I have to mention is the value. I certainly was not expecting such a large bottle so I was quite surprised on the volume I received for the amount of money I spent. Really awesome product.

A lot of people have asked what this aftershave smells like. Ok, guys, this is my opinion;If you have ever tried Lilac Vegetal Aftershave you know that it has a "floral" smell....and also a urinal mint smell. Now that I have completely turned you off from Tabac, please let me explain.Tabac has a "slight" floral smell that is actually very nice, and masculine at the same time, if that makes sense. It does not however have the urinal mint smell. As it dries and mellows on your face and the aroma changes into a warm, cinnamon, floral, barbershop powder smell.This is not your usual aftershave, it's different, but in a good way. I also will add that it makes the face feel great after the shave. I'm sure there are some who will be turned off by the alcohol content, but please don't let that scare you away. There is also a skin conditioner in this aftershave that works like nothing I've ever tried. Tabac will leave your skin very moisturized, and soft. This is a fine product, but it's from another time.

I remember this fragrance as a child when my dad would wear it. The same, timeless fragrance that I remember and enjoy wearing.

Great stuff that’s hard to find

Scent profile is very masculine and does not smell like anything you'll pick up at the drugstore here in the USA. The Aftershave is quite soothing on the face after a Friday morning oops I didn't change the blade in my safety razor shave and the scent lasts a nice long time without being aggressive. If you are looking for something to add to your arsenal that won't make you smell like every guy that takes his fragrance recommendations from slick youtube pickup artists or women who have been trained to recognize the top 10 selling expensive fragrances then this is the perfect product for you. This is a MAN's aftershave, with a scent that is appropriate for a man's man, its not sweet, cloying, flowery kid stuff. Nor is it a spray and pray over advertised product (rhymes with hax). If you like cleaning your guns, mowing your own grass and watching old John Wayne or Clint Eastwood Westerns stop what you are doing right now and buy a bottle of this. Honestly, a real man isn't going to give a **** what anyone else thinks about the scent anyway am I right brothers?
