Great 2 in 1! Good price, great to use!
Another amazing product from Huawei. I already own a Mate 9, which is a killer phone, so decided to get a 2-in-1 from them. Love it! It comes with the keyboard, so I do not need to spend extra $$ to get one. The 2k touchscreen is both beautiful and easy to use. Also, appreciate that it comes with Office 365 free for a year, saving me some money. I use it for work and play, and it handles both amazingly!

I needed a versatile and light setup so I can do daily email, web browsing, and very basic lightroom when travelling, it was between this and the Surface Pro. Although the Surface Pro does offer a faster cpu option(at a higher price), and has very good port options(compare to only a USB C on the Huawei and it's used for charging), ultimately I decided on the Huawei because of the screen, weight, and keyboard cover. This has one of the best screen among all the 2in1 on the market, comes with keyboard, and light and thin enough to use as a pad when the keyboard is detached. After two weeks using it, my wife also fell in love with it, so I brought a second one for her during Black Friday sales.

Before you get involved in this, choose a trusted brand and keep the crappy names away!
When I start looking for a notebook, I gave a 60% weight for the brand, just to make sure that the quality of the product is good. Unfortunately, I lost my trust in HUAWEI, I will not recommend it to anyone of my friends or family anymore. The reason of this is about the warranty, as anyone busy with his life, focused on his responsibilities, I didn't search about that brand called HUAWEI, I thought they're big enough to provide an international warranty for their products, and before couple months my MateBook screen didn't respond to my finger touch anymore, I went to the HUAWEI maintenance store in my city, and after their check they said your device need to be fixed on you account since this device is bought from america, it's out of warranty coverage!!!I don't believe it from the beginning! Then I start realize that it's my mistake to have all of that trust in HUAWEI brand name. Also, regarding my usage of that notebook, I swear, my usage didn't reach 36 hours since I bought it!!I have an ASUS N550JV since the release of it, and it's still working for more than 7 years right now and everything is working perfectly, except the battery which need to be replaced, not to mention my heavy usage (running 24 hours per day all the time)!!!Now, I'm willing to sell my crappy HUAWEI MateBook and purchase a new one with a trusted brand name.

nice..
bought it for 6xx on black friday , for that price is unbeatable, just s full laptop on a tablet size ,nice...it gets s little hot but not higher than my cellphone, the battery is a low point but it depends on your expectations, the form factor is outstanding so there is little room for it, on full load or heavy duty it last a full day, normal use it can make like 3 days, nothing to do against an android tablet or so... but this is far more powerfull and thinner than the rivals . so for at least 700 i think is the best u can have ( mine is the i5 model) , for 1000 more or less maybe u can look for the acer model or hp but giving up for mobility , this thing with the keyboard case is perfect for traveling.the other thing, i been seen bad reviews for the touch mouse , thats not correct at all , actually is better than my full laptop touchpad .

Must buy for students.
Pros:1. Value for money. 2/3rd the price of Surface Pro with similar specs.2. Display is absolutely gorgeous.3. Incredibly slim and light-weight.4. 100/100 on portability.5. Detachable cover is cool.6. Top end specs.Cons:1. No adapter included (atleast for me) and also no stylus.2. Battery life is average. Does the work though.3. Keyboard and touchpad quality could be improved. Discoloration in white keyboard after half a year.Overall: Pros far outweigh the cons and would recommend this product to anyone looking for an affordable and portable 2-in-1 without compromising on processing power.

LOUSY WARRANTY SERVICE / SUPPORT
Overall it is a good performing unit. Reason behind the low rating is a lousy service experience. The portfolio keyboard had been a bit "flaky" in that at times the cursor would disappear. I would need to re-seat the unit to get it to reappear. Then this has progressed to the whole keyboard and touchpad not working. Bought it in August and in very good condition. Found the on line FAQ manual (it's over 100 pages..scary) and followed the basic guide on checking contacts, etc. Finally got on line with service and quite disappointing. After going through all the usual "debug"; in part I helped him with by referencing parts of the FAQ, determined it is most likely the keyboard that is bad. Then he issues a repair ticket in which he 1st said to just return the keyboard but then told me I had to return the PC as well (no way, corporate configured). Then even if you do return it take 1~2 days to just issue a shipping label THEN, after the unit is received at the warehouse it takes ANOTHER 7 to 10 days to return the ship back. A company like Huawei..seriously??? Asked to talk with a manager and got brushed aside. No way will I ever buy a Huawei product again. Much better consumer companies out there. Recommend the new LG Gram instead.

Weight - 2.5 pounds with the case and keyboard.
In fairness, I haven't even turned this on. I am trying to decide whether I want to keep it or not. I have another notebook that is 3.3 lbs. As I am going on a long trip, I wanted a lighter computer. This one was listed at 1.4 lbs. The tablet part is probably 1.4 lbs. But the case and keyboard bring it to 2.5 lbs. As I need the keyboard, the relevant weight for me is 2.5 lbs. My weights are estimates as my scale is analog, but I am pretty close. My question is whether it is worth spending so much money to save .8 lbs. I think it was very misleading to have the lower weight. It does look very nice though! And the packaging was really cool.
