I have a factory stereo with a screen that slides up, which complicates the process of being able to maintain a factory appearance while adding an Apple Car Play compatible stereo / device. I didn’t initially want an external display to solve this problem but there are no reasonably priced ($4-500ish) options that allow me to add Car Play with a factory look. This Carpuride 9” device is great and I’m very happy with its performance. I paid about $250 for this particular version, which is way lower than any other options I found. I was skeptical that the quality would be very good, but once it’s all set up, the experience is everything I wanted my car to have in the first place. The setup was slightly goofy, as others have mentioned, but once you get it going, it’s pretty seamless. (You technically connect via Bluetooth, but it also somehow uses wifi(?)). Anyway, I now just get in my car, turn it on, and after about 15-20 seconds, it goes right into Car Play. The touch screen is sensitive and you don’t have to press any harder than a modern phone. Screen mirroring also works as expected. Phone calls sound good and the people I speak with say it sounds good on their end as well. The little speakers on the device are pretty small and the quality is just meh, but I think most people will either use the FM or AUX functionality for sound. I used the AUX connection and my music actually sounds better now than it did before. I highly recommend this for people that have limited options to get Car Play or Android Auto or just don’t want to mess with a full install of a new stereo.

TBH I love everything about this product. It has done everything it promised to do. My 2 faults with the it were 1) There was a slight buzzing sound when hooked up to the Aux input in my vehicle. Further investigation revealed that it was the aux cable that was defective. I replaced it with a better one, and voila, that annoying buzz disappeared. The second issue was the touch screen. It worked like it was supposed to, but wasn't the most responsive(slight delay).I had the stereo professionally installed so that it looked like factory equipment. (I hate visible wires...). It looks and works amazingly well. I emailed their support team requesting a AMG logo for the opening screen, which they responded to, and sent me the program to change it. All within 2 days!!!Update: About 6 months in, the Bluetooth feature stopped functioning, which prevented me from connecting wirelessly. I emailed their service dept, and we wrote back and forth about how to fix the problem. When nothing worked, the company sent me a new replacement model FREE of charge!!!Overall, I am very happy with this purchase, and would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their present system. Also, unlike most customer service departments these days, Carpuride Support were a breeze to work with. As I said earlier, they replied within 2 days to my original email, and sent me the info I requested, with detailed instructions on how to install it.

Installed this in my 2012 Honda Civic Coupe. Wow! I’m loving this device. I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks now and it has worked flawlessly. Setup was super easy. The mounts that it came with are very solid, made of good quality and gives you plenty of mounting options. I did end up using small screws to mount as my dashboard is slick and every type of adhesive tape that I tried did not stick well. The adaptive lighting is great! Sound quality is amazing. I do have it connected via Aux Cable for a more solid connection. I have my phone mounted next to the tablet and run a small usb cord from the tablet to my phone to keep my phone charged during driving. I wanted a custom boot logo and emailed the support team with my request. They promptly responded back, and I was able to load a custom boot logo onto the tablet. This was a great upgrade to my car. I was looking at options for installing Apple Carplay and having a more modern interface in my car but I was not willing to spend $1200 on a new system. This solved it for me at a great price. I did end up ordering the 2 USB Charger directly form Carpuride . I received it yesterday and replaced the original with this one so I would have more usb ports. The quality of the charger exceeded my expectations. I am very happy with my purchases and the quality of their products and great customer service.

El dispositivo funciona muy bien, pero es importante recalcar que cuando tienes tu teléfono conectado inalámbricamente tiene mucha latencia, por lo que opté por conectarlo vía cable, la comunicación es inmediata y al mismo tiempo me carga el iPhone, no tan rápido como uno quisiera, pero bueno, ahí está la carga.Su mayor punto en contra serían las bases, son muy delicadas, la mía se rompió al tratar de safarlo de la parte de atrás de la pantalla, tuve que pegarlo con Locktite de manera permanente… en fin, funciona muy bien y traigo CarPlay en mi camión…Muy recomendado, por cierto, el iOSmirror es una función genial para ver los partidos de fútbol 😅😅😅😅
