Sizzix Thinlits Die Set , Alphanumeric, Upper & Lowercase by Tim Holtz, 69 Pack, Multiple Sizes, Blue

Me encantaron…Separé las letras en mayúsculas, minúsculas y números en 3 diferentes láminas magnéticas y en orden alfabético para encontrar lo que necesito de forma rápida. Me guié con la imagen que trae el producto para identificar 3 letras que no lograba colocar por mi cuenta. Tarde alrededor de 5 minutos organizando las piezas en su lugar. Los números son geniales, similares a los que se usan para decorar pasteles. Nunca antes había usado una troqueladora, pero decidí comprarla junto con varios juegos de troqueles para ayudar a mis hijos en sus tareas manuales de la escuela, ya la estrenamos y nos sentimos más que admirados con los resultados. Mi hijo de 10 años es el encargado de seleccionar, troquelar y volver a ubicar los troqueles en el lugar que le corresponda, puesto que la tarea es de su clase. Cuando le corresponda a mi hija de 8 años, también tendrá que hacerlo para sus asignaciones escolares.

I really had to think twice about ordering this die cut set, not because I wasn't sure if I like it or not, but rather because of some of the disappointed reviews. My mouse hovered over the "Add to Cart" button while I said a quick prayer. Then my fate was sealed. When the package arrived, I immediately took a count of the number of dies included. Hallelujah!! There were 69 dies present. Next, I got out a magnetic sheet, and proceeded to sort out all 69 dies to make sure all were present without duplicates. That prayer must have worked because all items were present. Actually sorting them out wasn't that horrendous. I started with the larger dies and placed each on the magnetic sheet roughly where they would go in alphabetical order. The lower case letters were more of a challenge, but it wasn't until I was down to the last few, that I really had to compare them to the package cover. If you have the patience for jigsaw puzzles, you should do fine with sorting these out. So far I've only used 3 of the dies to spell out a friend's name for her birthday card. I placed them individually and they cut beautifully. I think the biggest challenge going forward will be in determining how to crop some of the "tails" of some of the lowercase letters to give a seamless look. I wouldn't even bother trying to cut them as a single word. In some cases it might work, but in this case, the tail on the lowercase "a" and the leading curl on the lowercase "m" needed to overlap in order to read them. Trying to cut them as one piece just wouldn't work. You might not have the issue with some of the letters. It will depend on the word you are spelling. Personally, I can't imagine trying to use these for a lot of sentiments. It would probably drive me crazy. I purchased these to personalize cards for family and friends. I'll leave the sentiments to other Sizzix die sets. With all of that said, I'm really pleased with this purchase.

These Letters & Numbers are a great size for my handmade greeting cards, and the font is easy to glue together to look like it came as a Word Die. First thing I did was run them all through my Big Shot on top of a few layers of unscented dryer sheets so that they would come out of the die easily. One difficulty - the dots on the "i's" are SO tiny! Hard to make multiples and stack them for definition when that dot is miniscule! I frequently end up using a rhinestone or pearl in it's place. They were all jumbled together in a thick envelope pouch (nice add-on!) inside the plastic packaging and looking at the cutting side of them took FOREVER to figure out which letter or number was which! So, I bought some magnetic register covers here on Amazon (Accord AMAGCOV815 Magnetic Vent Cover, 8-Inch x 15-Inch, 3-Pack) and cut them down to size to fit into these zipper storage bags (Plymor 6" x 8", 4 Mil (Pack of 100) Heavy Duty Plastic Reclosable Zipper Bags) and was able to get the entire set onto one magnetic square cut down to 5x7. Now I can just pull off the letters I need and get them back in place. I will admit that halfway through sorting I decided to draw the letter & number on the back of the cutting die with a Sharpie...just in case they get mixed up again! ;) So...quality product in the perfect size for cardmaking, but they need to start printing the image, letter, number, etc. on the back of the cutting dies. :)

Sizzex metal dies are terrific. The dies are individual when you receive them (not one piece or connected). It took a little bit of time but I used a permanent marker and wrote the corresponding letter on each die. I separated upper case, lower case and numbers with punctuation in small plastic bags so it would be quicker to find what I needed. A great set of dies!

Love this set of Alpha, Numeric and some Punctuation. Finally a cursive set! I store my dies in 8.5 x 5.5" page protectors on #110 paper with a magnetic sheet on the back. Since there are 69 dies in this set, that wasn't going to work on a single sheet. I cut magnetic sheets to 4 x 6.5" and it took 3 sheets to hold all the dies in alpha numeric order. I used a fine point marker to mark the letter or number on the back of each die, so if I got them mixed up it would be a heck of a lot easier to put them in order. The 3 sheets fit perfectly into one of the Sizzix clear envelopes we often get the dies in, and it all slides inside one of the page protectors. I also always cut a few of the dies out so I can see size as I am flipping through them. Love this set. Ranger doesn't disappoint. Edited to add that delivery was very quick, I was happily surprized!

OK, these dies are nicely made and exactly what I would expect from Sissix. Problem is, like other reviewers mentioned, you can't tell what letter is what! It gets even more frustrating when you start mixing up the lower and upper case letters. I know some have suggested labeling the pieces but there's not much space on each die to do that. Also, I don't want to have to spend half an hourtrying to sort the letters out. I bought another alphabet die set that I can actually decipher between the letters. I will never use this set.

Great product Letters are a decent size but because of the script font It was very fiddly to decide which letter was which especially lower case But have sorted them into groups now

Son muy lindos. Sí cuesta trabajo ordenarlos, pero ayuda mucho troquelar los que son más difíciles de diferenciar y así saber a cuál letra, número o signo, corresponde cada uno. Me llegaron completos y sin daños.

Sono ben fatte e tagliano benissimo la carta. La comodità è che sono separate per cui si possono fustellare solo le lettere che servono. Inoltre la possibilità di scegliere il maiuscolo e/o minuscolo è ottima per avere una scelta più ampia per fare scritte. Da utilizzare con la carta (spessori troppo doppi non sono adatti). Ci vuole pazienza nel togliere la carta dalla fustellina ma il risultato è perfetto. La sizzix è una garanzia.
