17 Inch Battleship Destroyer

This is not a toy for roughhousing, but with that said, it feels sturdy in the hand and has moveable parts (yes, you can lift some components off the ship along with many parts because this is essentially a snap-together model that can be played with as well. Most of the weapons, the helicopter rotor, the illuminators and the propellors can be manipulated). I'd say it's appropriate for an older kid or adult. All in all, it's pretty close to an Arleigh-Burke, aside from a few things: a lack of a side anchor, the text and font on the bow, and the VLS cells in the aft end have a peculiarity. Still a cool toy.

i used it for my school diorama and was the only one with a 100. it was very good looking and the quality was great.

This is a really cool model. For the price and what it is; it is outstanding and great looking from a distance. It comes with a stand and I personally will say it is not a toy. It seems to be more fragile than something you could actually play with unless you are very careful with it. It is made from all plastic parts and the design is good but there are pieces that can break off easily. For instance the props, antennas, and or gun torrents.' Besides that once you get up close you can see the details are not there but it is still excellent for a plastic toy which should not be treated a s a toy or at least not give to really young kids. I got it to place on a shelf across from my bed because I thought it was cool and my grand dad served in the Navy.

It's great my son loves it he plays with it all the time.

So I was working in my sons backyard. Talking with my 5 year old grandson. I asked him what he wanted to do when he grew up. He said a “ Navy ship captain”. I said oh you want to work on Navy ships? And he said “no grandpa. I want to be the captain and drive the ship”So I thought he needed a Navy ship. This ship is very well detailed and looks like a real ship. I am definitely happy with it and my grandson loves it. Had to eat his dinner with his ship. I would recommend this ship. It even has a little stand to display it on.
