This mirror is similar to ones I saw when traveling to Europe. It's compact, well made, and perfectly meets my needs. The 3x magnification works well for both my shaving and my wife's make-up application. The mirror is distortion free. Since it's not lighted, it's easy to install and requires no maintenance. It doesn't telescope, but folds flat against the wall so it doesn't interfere with the door of my medicine cabinet. The chrome parts are substantial metal, not plastic look-alike, and the mirror is glass, not plastic.

This mirror is fantastic, easy to mount, and nice looking.I first tried one of these in a hotel (I travel for work constantly). I searched for it immediately upon return.I bought this one, which appears to be exactly what was in the hotel, and mounted it easily, and use it daily.Strong magnification, mounts on the wall which keeps counters clear and allows you to stand up straight without hunching over to use a mirror.Life changing for that daily shave.

They are sturdy, yet elegant and absolutely beautiful. I first used a mirror like this when I visited the Westin in Grand Cayman. I wanted one before I even got home, I can't imagine NOT having one now, because it really helps me put my makeup on so much better than I did before. I found Hamilton Hills when I opened my amazon account and searched "magnified makeup mirrors", so happy I found them. The magnification insert mirror is great but I wish it was a little bigger. It’s very convenient to have both mirrors on one side so you don’t have to flip back and forth between the regular side and the magnified side. Three of my friends ordered it on the spot when they saw mine. It’s big enough to use for blow drying also.

I am using and enjoying the Hamilton Hills 3X mag wall mounted mirror. After trying and returning numerous other brands and magnifications, I ordered this one. It was very easy to mount on the wall and it is adjustable in length and width. I would have given this a 5 star rating if the mirror mounting arm allowed it to lie flush with the wall when not in use.

Ordered this at an amazing price and was quite pleased with myself for having found it. Unwrapped it only to discover that this mirror, which was supposed to be round, was instead a rectangle. Oh Amazon, you trickster you!The quality of the mirror in terms of the metal finish is quite nice. As a mirror for looking at yourself, it leaves something to be desired in terms of an accurate reflection. As for being what it is supposed to be, i.e. a round mirror, this rectangle leaves a lot to be desired. Very well packed, well constructed mirror (though the little handle which suggests the mirror is fully adjustable is severely limited in terms of available angles).

This mirror was easy to install and works as described. The mirror quality is excellent for the price point although I can see why some wanted a 5x magnification (vs. the 3x provided with this mirror). I'm fine with the 3x.For the people who claim the mirror won't retract flat against the wall, you either have a really defective mirror or you've installed it incorrectly (which is tough to do). Mine retracts flat with no issues.

Nice item, but it went from 5 stars to 3 stars because I had anticipated it being able to be moved around enough to be positioned in any fashion in my bathroom. The neck of the item rotates around its long axis, but not up and down.The mirror itself rotates half the range most other mirrors rotate, so it is very limited where and how you can position it on your wall. it couldn’t be rotated to fit on any wall available in my bathroom, so I attached it to the horizontal marble (with double sided tape) That was very disappointing. Would have purchased another item had I known.
