The Green Witch's Guide to Herbal Magick: A Handbook of Green Hearthcraft and Plant-Based Spellcraft

The book is not only beautiful and beautifully written, it explains everything in so much detail and gives me actionable things I can do to add herbal magick into my everyday life. It also has help me a ton as a baby green witch, I absolutely love the section on intent/intention :) I hope Annabel comes out with more books because I will absolutely purchase every one of them!

What a lovely book! Annabel goes into detail on the basics of intuition and intent as well as a deep dive into the practice of herbal magick with details on 32 readily available plants. I appreciated her focus on the accessible over the exotic — the herbs she focuses on are generally either easy to grow in your own garden (lavender, calendula, chamomile, rose…), easy to find at a store (culinary herbs and spices), or easy to find in the wild (fern, juniper, pine, etc). The focus on specific herbs covers associations, and a large section of multiple paragraphs on folklore and magickal uses as well as mindful details on precautions/contraindications. Unlike some craft-focused resources she readily includes the botanical names (super important when considering medicinal use!) and goes into great detail on practical applications. Plus, the book is filled with lovely line drawings that I’m tempted to color in as I progress through the book (though I would hate for my limited colored pencil ability to remove any beauty from this gorgeous piece of work so I am refraining for now)!Well bound, well organized, and well put together, it is an altogether excellent addition to the genre. Thank you Annabel for the lovely book you have crafted and shared! I look forward to future works in this series.

love this book would gladly buy it again

This book doesn’t just tell you what to do, it tells you how to do it and why.It starts off explaining intent and provides various methods to feel and express your intent. It then explains the simple tools you will need. Herbal classifications are discussed along with some of the nuances in using herbs and most importantly safety.Around thirty common plants are then reviewed for magical properties and uses, correspondences, and folklore. This might not sound like a lot but it is a basic toolkit for many magical workings.The author then moves on to cover spell preparations using bags, jars, bundles, candles, simmer pots, infusions, tinctures, and more.This is a great book to move you along the herbal path and has an extensive bibliography for further study.

I am so proud of you and all that you have accomplished at such a young age, Annabel! I think you're a beautiful person inside and out and so special. I am only a few pages into your book and I can't wait to read the rest. I love the note to your mother, that is awesome that she is there for you and you can talk about all things witchy. I wish I had that growing up but I concealed it because I had to. I hope you have a wonderful year. Thank you for your inspiration and beauty you give to this world. (When I am finished with your book I hope I remember to leave a review after I finish reading it! :P )

This is a beautifully illustrated and helpful book. I love the simple approach to spell work and all the helpful information.

Anyone coming to this book via the author's Youtube channel will find all the wisdom, charm, and knowledge you'd expect from her. It's an excellent book.However, do not buy the Kindle version. The publisher has failed in the most basic of technical requirements, omitting many pages, while some of the included pages appear to be graphics instead of text sections, rendering large chunks of various chapters completely unreadable. This is an error newbie indie publishers normally don't make. It's inexcusable for an established traditional house such as MacMillan.

Si te gusta este tema este libro es básico y bonito para iniciarte. Si ya tienes conocimientos sobre el tema no te traerá casi nada nuevo. Pero es muy bonito para regalar por ejemplo. Yo lo adquirí porque le tengo cariño a la youtuber que lo hace, no me sirvió mucho porque ya llevo años de base pero para empezar si que lo recomendaría.

The media could not be loaded. I've been following Annabel for some time now, and learner SO much. When this book was announced I knew I had to read it and have it with me.It's informative, easy and so enjoyable. She goes into the uses and meanings and precautions and even folklore of the herbs, and gives us literally a handful of recipes to do, it's a GIFT that we get with this book. It really is useful to the more advanced practitioner and useful to the beginner in the craft.The book is great by itself, but a fun and helpful thing to do while following it or just studying/reading it, it's to follow a series of videos on her *chef's kiss* beautiful and calming channel on YouTube. It's the "All About Spellcraft" on "The Green Witch" channel.I have no complaints, truly. It serves it's purpose and it was very well made.It's also very beautiful, not just the cover. It's beautifully written and organised, beautiful illustrations that I'm almost sure I heard her say were made by herself.I'm happy to say that I don't have any complaints about it even though I feel like it would be useful to name one or another, but I can't think of any.I do recommend it for anyone who loves or even just leans into the green path. And even if you don't! It's still useful and enjoyable to read. Don't know if this is gonna help at all, but as someone who loves Scott Cunningham, this book is exactly what I look for in the craft literature.

Molto soddisfatta del mio acquisto. Bel libro in lingua inglese ovviamente. Mi piace molto il suo modo di spiegare la magia verde perchè la rende quasi terapeutica e meditativa.
