Aloe Vera Soap Blocks (2lb)

This stuff is addictive. So simple to melt and mold and it is a great soap. I put instant coffee in mine and then real coffee grounds in. The coffee grounds floated to the top leaving one side smooth and one side rough making it a perfect exfoliator. It also has a great scent that helps wake you up in the morning.

I had never ordered this brand before but thought I would give it a try. Usually melt and pour soap bases are completely enclosed and protected from the air drying out the product or causing damage. When I opened my package which was left on my doorstep, the thin plastic wrap was already halfway removed from my soap base and considering it is about 10 degrees here it was completely exposed to the elements. After removing the soap base from the package it immediately began to sweat in my home. The soap base could have been wrapped with a much sturdier plastic and I would have been thrilled with that! I am hoping the soap will still melt and pour into my upcoming bars perfectly. I would hate for a wrapping to have ruined a perfectly good soap base. Guess we'll see what happens!

Best value for the amount that I found in my search for a melt and pour soap. The package arrived quickly and when weighed was indeed a little over 5lbs. I didn’t need a perfectly clear base (since I added colored mica powder) so I can’t speak to its clarity. Another point I should make: mine did not have easy to use separations, it was just one big block that I cut into smaller squares, then weighed on my own kitchen scale. If you don’t have a scale, you’ll be guessing the actual amount you are cutting and melting. Smell: very slight aloe smell, if any-great to add your own scent with essential oil. With all this in mind, I would recommend!

I ordered this because I had a last minute order of soap with inserts and I didn’t not have time to make the inserts CP, decided to do melt & pour so the bars would be ready in time. Received the package next day as promised, however when I picked it up, I thought “this doesn’t feel like 5lbs” so I decided to weight it. Lo and behold, it’s not 5lbs, it’s 4.15lbs. I have been cheated out of almost a whole pound of soap.

I went with this as a soap base because of the ratings. I have never used this brand and should have stuck with my usual. This soap is a "sweaty" soap base. Meaning every single bar of soap I made sweat so badly, I cant package it and it looks horrible. I wouldn't recommend it. Even when it was setting it was sweating and bubbles appeared all over the surface. It was a waste of time and money.

A very nice soap base that I know is safe and healing. I use goats milk base too but this aloe vera is even nicer. It colors well and molds up nicely. I have added Calendula petals and poppy seeds, mica and liquid colorant, fragrance and essential oils, and it creates a beautiful soap.

This is by far the best soap base that is out there on the market and i have no intention on ever using anything else....Pookie

This would probably be great to mix with another soap. When we did our dinosaur soaps after setting up it was sticky. It does however feel great when you wash with it. My son's skin is so soft & clean feeling.
