- (Brassica oleracea) (aka Dinosaur, Nero di Toscana) A vitamin bomb! Italian heirloom that dates back to the eighteenth century. Blue-green strap-like leaves are 3" wide by 10-18" long with a heavily savoyed texture. Very popular variety that is extremely cold hardy. Excellent flavor that is enhanced by frost. Best eaten when leaves are small and tender. They are heavily crinkled and cook up tender. Perfect for green juices. Days to maturity: 30 days baby, 60 full size.
