An attractive small table lamp, nicely made and the modern style is attractive.
This style of lamp is not one that I would normally lean towards buying. Generally I think that a lamp/lampshade should obscure the bulb and not 'show it off'. However, I do rather like the modern 'vintage' style of bulbs where the filament is a feature and the glass/plastic of the bulb is clear so that the bulb and its filament become the lighting feature. It's quite a radical departure from the more common table lamp design. The HUAMI lamp is well packaged in a paricularly sturdy cardboard box so it arrived in perfect condition. When you handle it the lamp feels like it's good quality with a natural wooden base, completely covered soft black underside covering so that the lamp doesn't slide around and also doesn't scratch any delicate surfaces. The cable has an inline ON/OFF switch (which I prefer) but is only a bare 5ft long which I think is a tad too short. Obviously the length may be absolutely perfect for your needs... and how a manufacturer makes a judgement about the ideal cable length, well I don't know. You get one of the modern LED 'exposed filament' type of bulbs. The bulb shape suits the shape of the lamp perfectly, i.e. it's a tall cylindrical shape. The light from the bulb is definitely a warm white (again that's my favourite white colour temperature for indoor lighting). It's an E27 standard screw fitting.I guess that this table lamp is the perfect size for a bedside lamp. My personal concern about that is that I would not want an open cage style of lampshade for beside my bed. I think that the light from an exposed lightbulb is far to 'startling and distracting' on a bedside table. So, for me the lamp would never be used in a bedroom setting. An effect that I did particularly like is the lovely pattern that the black wire lampshade creates on the surfaces around the base, and any wall that's close enough. It's a very attractive criss-cross effect. The lamp retails at under £21 and I think it's good value, especially when you consider that it comes with a bulb (which I imagine would cost anything up to about £4). This is a small, unusual styled lamp and doubtless would appeal to many.

A pretty lamp but bulb to bright
This is a neat little lamp by the bulb supplied is far to bright. It is dimmable but there is no dimmer switch so a changed the bulb and is much subtler now

Small and fragile
It's missing the wow factor that I was hoping for because it's much smaller and fragile than I expected.

Taller than it looks...
This HUAMI Goblet Metal Cage Lamp is a good size but with a small footprint so it can create a real feature lamp on bedside tables or shelves. It's reasonably well made, the bamboo base is lacquered with a near-matte lacquer finish giving it a natural look. The metal cage is fairly sturdy, even thought each individual wire strand is quite thin, and is securely fixed to the base. There's a fairly inconspicuous seam in the mesh where two edges overlap and on mine it's been positioned at the 'front' (opposite to where the cable emerges from the base) and I'd really prefer it at the 'back' but the cage is fixed in place and can't be rotated, at least not on my lamp. There's a simple inline on/off rocker switch which is about 30cm/12" from the base so it's possibly likely to disappear down the back of the table. Note that some similar metal cage lamps in HUAMI's range have inline dimmer switches but not this one, although the included cylinder-shaped bulb is actually dimmable. The supplied bulb casts a good light and is a bit bright if you look directly at it so it's a shame there's no dimmer. The bulb socket itself is a full-sized E27 allowing lots of other bulbs to be used and the cage is tall enough that full-sized bulbs won't poke out of the top of the lamp. The mesh-like light pattern cast by the lamp isn't quite as sharp and clear as in the photos but it still looks good and overall it's a really appealing feature lamp.

Lightweight and a very nice light
I really like the shape and design of this lamp, as I think it stands out from the crowd compared to many others out there on the market. It's very light, surprisingly so. Which makes it easy to carry around if you want to use it in various parts of your home. For something so light, it doesn't particularly feel cheap to look at or touch. It works fine and provides a lovely warm glow in my bedroom. It isn't bright enough to light up the whole room, but that's a very good thing as that's not what I want from a lamp. I just want a subtle light that I can put on at night and this works well.

Attractive, modestly-priced lamp
This is a very attractive lamp, which looks both retro and bang up to date, if that makes sense. The on/off switch is in a really good position, not too far from the lamp itself, so you don’t have to go hunting for it, and if you want to keep it still you can stick it on a surface with Blu Tack.It is, of course, already fitted with a plug, so to use it you just need to screw in the Edison bulb included in the pack. The bulb has a very good effect; the light is not bright, but a subtle warm glow, so it is perfect for dark corners where you want some illumination but nothing too distracting. The base has felt underneath to prevent scratches to furniture.A great lamp at a really good price.

Really attractive lamp but bulb provided was faulty.
This is a very attractive light which I thought looked quite unusual - certainly it was different from most pf my table lamps. With its pale wooden base and black metal shade in fitted in nicely with the colour scheme in my living room and I have placed it on a coffee table there. It is sturdy and well made. The LED bulb provided is amber in colour so it gives off a nice warm glow when lit. Unfortunately the bulb provided was faulty. When I first switched it on it flickered on and off repeatedly. Eventually it settled but now provides only a faint light and is obviously not working as it should. I intend to buy another similar bulb to use with the light. So, in summary, I really liked the lamp and would have given it 5* had it not been for the faulty bulb.Update: It cost me £14.99 to buy a pack of 2 replacement bulbs!!
