Perfect
Perfect. Just what I wanted. Nice colour, well made and wash nicely.

Atrocious quality
The first thing I noticed was they'd been folded in a really weird way. Instead of just in quarters they'd had a long and short edge folded first before quartering. When I went to iron then to try and get out the creases I realised why - the edges were not straight and corners not square. Several threads hanging loose as well so I don't know how long the decorative stitching will last.And as others have said - really thin although that was less of an issue for meNeedless to say these are being returned

Placemats are very thin so not suitable and will return.

Do not buy these
These placemats are excessively overpriced, the cotton is so thin, you can practically see through it, the quality of the cotton is so poor It will not stand up to a hot wash the way you would expect cotton to do. I bought two packets of these which cost the best part of £34. All eight collectively are not even worth £5. Package opened, items inspected, items immediately re-packed, return started. This seller needs to really look at the quality of what they are selling and moreover how they overprice items that are worse than seconds!!
