Q: I'm 5'3" 170 what size would work for me?

I’m 5’5” 200lbs & I got an XL. It fits perfect.

Q: I ordered a large but thought it was a little tight. would xl make any difference? i know the dress is form fitting

I ordered the XL and the fit was a little loose. I'm 5'6, 160 lbs, with 41in hips. I ordered the XL, due to my hip size. The dress fit my hips perfectly, but the top was a bit big. Not enough that it was really noticeable or prevented me from wearing it. I got a lot of compliments on the dress.

If you have a bit of a tummy like I do, I would get a medium. It will be a bit long in the back for you but just wear it with heels.
