I couldn't get past the second step in the assembly because the cut out on the inside wall of the drawer where the bottom of the drawer slides into (after you put up the side walls) was cut on the opposite end from where it should be. I turned the cam back so I could take the side off and the cam broke. I was being gentle. I'm very unhappy with this. I've been looking for a year for a ladder shelf that could be used as a stereo rack and this one was the first I've found that had the perfect measurements for my space. But sadly its not going to work. There was a note about responding to the company with assembly questions or replacement parts via email, but to be honest, with a 2 parts failing I don't think any replacement parts can be trusted. If you look at the picture you'll see where the slot for the bottom of the drawer needs to go, but they cut the slot on the right panel on the top not the bottom of the panel (#16). That and a broken cam (#32) when I took it off made me realize this was something I shouldn't have bought. And I've bought many things from Ikea so I know how to put things together, but Ikea doesn't have this product in a 5' height size.

This product comes in about a hundred small pieces. If you have the patience of a Saint and the enjoyment of putting together toy models this is the product for you. The covers for the screw holes are black stickers. Asking my husband to assemble this possibly put our marriage in jeopardy. Overall once it was put together it looks nice but is smaller then I was anticipating. Wouldn't purchase again mainly because my husband swore he wouldn't put another one together for me.

Not sturdy. Not easy to assemble. It is in one spot that I hope I will never have to move it from. I dust it and vacuum around it hoping that if I leave it alone it will not collapse on me. It does look good and I have received compliments on it. I just ask people not to touch it. LOL

It's sturdy and fit perfectly where I needed a bookcase. I can fit a basket on the bottom shelf for one cat and a pad on the second shelf. Plus keep food and accessories in the drawer or on higher shelves.

love it! The price is right, hard to install though but with a lot of patience you will enjoy its purpose and beauty
