I use these to quiet hitch receiver rattle. Install as many as needed on receiver to give a little pressure against the hitch mount on vehicle, then push in a little as you put in locking pin for receiver.The item is a silicone like feel, a little rubbery even when freezing outside.

Added 3 between hitch attachment and holes to decrease wobbly bumper step. Works well.

Simple to install and need all 5 to quite the rear step on my 23' Maverick XLT

Love the idea and it works well with our son's pick up. but the hitch on my wife's SUV sticks out just a little further, leaving a gap between the receiver and the final muffler pad. Wish it had one pad that was half the thickness of the others.

These work great to stop the annoying rattle of a trailer hitch.. I had to push in on them to get the pin to fit as it fits snug .
