These carabineers are pretty good for the price. The body is smooth and appears to be forged. The gate spring operates without binding and snaps close without any fuss. I don't have a way to test the claimed load rating, but I don't plan on using them for anything more than lashing equipment to my truck and bikes for camping and fishing trips.

I was searching for some of these without sharp edges because I didn’t want them to damage my new exercise bands. My physical therapist had these for the same purpose and recommended them. They have no sharp edges and feel great in the hand. Nice action to the flipper thingy as well.

Be aware these are 8 cm = 4 inches, not 3.15 inches as the description states. I should have double checked the math before ordering. I needed smaller carabiners so am returning this.

Have bought these twice over about ten years. The two pack lasts quite a while. Last purchase was the middle of 2019. I work retail and use them for work keys. Five days a week, on and off countless times a day, and these bad boys are holding up great. One is still brand new, the other has some paint chips but is great.Can't comment on how they work for anything heavy duty, but I got tired of the cheap clips breaking in a few weeks (it was always the spring that closed it back) and grabbed these guys. Love them, and have been recommending them to coworkers whenever they mention the key clips.

I have a couple of sets of Rallt 12kN spring gate carabiners I use for my hammock which have been just perfect. I needed a couple more carabiners and decided to get a locking set I can easily leave on the ropes and re-purpose the spring gate ones. For cooler weather I leave the undercover, the foam pad and my sleeping bag in the hammock so set up / tear down is tons easier. With these, the carabiner is already in place - all I have to do is set my pack by a tree, get a strap around it, hook on and walk to the next tree - minimal stuff to juggle. Based on experience with my other Rallt equipment (carabiners and straps), I have no doubt these will be reliable and perform well.

I wasn't sure about ordering this type of item online because you just aren't sure what you are going to get, or if they will end up being different size or durability than you expect... With these.. they are EXACTLY as described, and perfect. They aren't flimsy like some of the other styles, and they screw open and closed easy. No double threading issues like items of poor quality, these ones feel well made and are!You are sitting there thinking.. pfft.. another bot answer or people paid etc.. but nope.. I used these on my lunch pale to help hold other items to it and they work great! So far they've been banged around and dropped a few times because I can be a bit of a clutz sometimes! All in all, if you are looking for something like this.. and you aren't sure if they will be what you see.. First I was doubtful if it can take the repetitive pulling done but surprisingly it held. No bents. Quality finish too, it was smooth and does not damage the straps of the bands. It is also lightweight plus the locking mechanism was very fluid turning it. I use it on my GoFit complete gym resistance bands with 20,30,40, and a 70lbs resistance. All together or in different combinations the carabiner worked!
