A necessary Evil
A few years ago I had the mother of all plagues (colds). I was sick for more than an entire month and the whole time my nose was running. Somewhere near the end of my cold I noticed a strange taste in my mouth whenever I would sniffle and I soon learned it was coming from my nose which meant my sinus cavity. I paid it no heed thinking it's about on par with how sick I was. I had thought it was just an after effect. Fast forward one year I started having a strange liquid leak from my nose that smelled just horrible, like sewage really whenever I would bend down, it freaked me out and I had no idea what it was. I Googled and researched what it was and it seemed to be a SInus infection, rather than jack myself up on costly medications I decided to take a more natural route. I picked up a NeilMed sinus rinse bottle and the regular NeilMed sinus rinse first. The regular strength is much more gentle but I had to do it more often, for my sinus infection it didn't really seem to do the trick - I needed something MUCH stronger. While browsing NeilMed products on Amazon I stumbled across this "extra strength" stuff and the little light bulb over my head went off. I ordered two boxes of the stuff pronto! I jumped on it as soon as it came as my sinus were driving not only me nuts but when my sinus' would start to leak others around me could smell it, I needed a remedy NOW! It wasn't pleasant using this extra strength stuff let me tell you. At first my sinus' had the feeling of drowning and then it seemed to burn a little BUT I can say after rinsing two times in a row my sinus felt clear and the air passage ways felt so empty it was wonderul just wonderful! I have been using this for 6 months now and the burning sensation is still there, my guess is it's from the extra salt or whatever makes it 'extra' strength but it is the only thing that can clear my sinus and get rid of the unwanted smelly 'water' in there. It's not a cure, apparently there is NO 100% cure for a sinus infection but I do this once 2 to 3 times a day during cold and flu seasons (only when I am sick) and about once or twice a week when I am not sick and it takes care of my symptoms. The minor burning sensation is a minor price I gladly pay for living a normal life. Pros: -small packets can be hidden in purses, pockets, drawers or anywhere else -Gets rid of mucus pretty darned fast -Gets rid of awful SInus infection smells -Clears airways in a way you can actually feel the difference -Gives me back worry free days Con: -Burns slightly when rinsing your sinus' Overall I love this product, well love it as much as you can love shooting salt water in your nose haha. I hesitate to 'recommend' any sort of medication/remedy to people as no two people are the same and what one person perceives as burning may not burn for the next person or it may work for one person but not the other (without taking into consideration someone may have an infection worse than you do that requires a more severe remedy). For me personally this is the perfect and ideal solution to better overall Sinus health and it is you you to decide if you want to give it a shot or not. I am personally pleased with this and will purchase it again and again and again.

Works well - no burning or side effects
I use this in my Navage device by using a plug that tricks the sensor.. Works well, doesn't burn. I use two packets a day, one for each nostril/direction. I think that each packet is equal to two of the blue, white and red saline packets. I use it as hypertonic solution, one packet per 8 oz of water. My sinuses were improved after starting Navage, and there's been more improvement after changing from the hypotonic solution.

Fantastic Product!
If you've never tried rinsing with a strong solution (2+ regular strength packets) you may be in for quite an experience. The sensation with these extra strength packets is similar to water forced up your nose when you're swimming in the ocean. Cost wise, these packets makes sinus rinsing even more effective. You can choose to dilute the solution or rinse full strength. I opt to dilute most of the time and rinse at full strength occasionally. I estimate the strength of a single packet to be equal to 3 regular strength packets. When I rinse I prepare 2 bottles as part of my routine. When I dilute the solution, I take one of these extra strength packets and mix as recommended in one bottle. I then pour half of the solution into my 2nd bottle and fill both bottles with water to the recommended fill line. For new users I would recommend diluting the product. The full experience can be quite overwhelming. I gave a few of these packets to my coworker to try, who's been sinus rinsing for quite some time, and he could not handle it.

I’m so happy!!
I’ve used nasal rinse for years with the standard NeilMed sinus rinse packets. However they usually didn’t last many hours of the day and I’d have to do another one again. I started using 2 packets at a time until I discovered this extra strength formula. And oh boy… it’s been almost a week and I’ve noticed the biggest difference. I’m a long time user of NeilMed, many years, so I didn’t notice any burning at all since I’m used to the saline rinse. As recommended on the box, only use if you’re a seasoned user of NeilMed sinus rinse for their regular packets. Overall, I’m super happy, best breathing I’ve had in years.

Great for Sinus Rinse
These work great for a rinse rinse when mixed with distilled water.

Excellent product, excellent price!
I used to have constant sinus headaches and had to live on over-the-counter sinus medicine. Then, someone told me about the neti pot, so I gave it a try. The relief in my sinus pressure was remarkable! I have long since moved on from the neti pot and now use the squeeze bottle as I prefer the positive pressure method. I rarely ever have to take any OTC medicine for anything, much less my sinuses. The key to success in using a sinus rinse is to use it consistently on a daily basis even if you don’t FEEL congested. If you wait until you are stopped up, it is too late. TIP: If you rinse right before a hot shower, the steam gives an added boost to the decongesting effect.

Whoa!
These things are intense. I consider myself a sinus rinse "veteran" and these things will still give me a bit of a burning sensations sometimes. I honestly can't say whether or not they actually clear out congestion for any longer than the isotonic packets, but my wife believes they do and so I'm comfortable buying these ones instead. They come with two boxes of 70 inside one larger box (so 140 packets altogether). We have these sent to us as part of Amazon's subscription service and it saves us a little bit of money. I'd like to speak to the idea of safety. I am not a doctor or medical professional or anything of the sort. I can say, however, that if you follow the directions as they're given nasal rinse systems are considered safe. My wife and I use distilled water and we microwave it in the NeilMed bottles for about 30 seconds to warm it up. This may or may not have long-term effects, but I can say that after years of doing this we have not seen any short-term effects. I use this system twice a day (once in the morning and once at night). I have serious sinus issues, so this is not a "fix" for me, but it helps to clear out any buildup that I have from the day. I know that sounds disgusting, but if you're considering buying these then you're probably dealing with a similar situation! Overall, I would say that they are worth a try! They work pretty well for me and my wife and these are definitely stronger than the original isotonic solution. However, if you are thinking to try a nasal rinse system for the first time I would recommend using the isotonic solution first (you can find it here: Sinus Rinse Regular Mixture Packets - Relieves Allergies & Sinus Symptoms, 100 Salt Premixed Packets,(neilmed) (Packf of 2)
